The guy who came out did a very good job and did it very quickly as well as promptly. I am very happy with his work. I didn?t check their price with other companies. The quality of their work was good. I would use their services in the future and I would recommend them too.

We have a house over 50 years old and the sliding door is probably an original fixture. For over 20 years we've managed with oiling the track and struggling with opening and closing the door with great difficulty. I fully expected that Terry would tell us that the door was beyond repair. They arrived early. He took one look at it and quickly went to work. He actually told us that the aluminum construction made the door easier to repair than the newer vinyl doors. He replaced the rollers and adjusted the height. His daughter (his partner) cleaned out all the years of gunk from the tracks and they remounted the door. He also did some adjustments to the latch that was a bit faulty and made that more secure. The door now rolls open and shut easily. It's never worked so well in over 20 years.

Our ancient old slider was so stuck you had to lift it up by the handle and yank on it to get it to move. When I called California Sliding Door Repair they told me they would fix it so that I could slide it with one finger. I was skeptical to say the least, but within half an hour of their arrival the door was doing just that. Now I have to be careful not to pull on it too hard! They're coming back with a new custom screen on Thursday. They showed me a sample of the screen. It's very heavy duty and extremely well constructed. I couldn't be more pleased!

Absolutely first-rate service. They arrived exactly on time and repaired a broken/stuck patio door with parts superior to the original. Above and beyond: they resplined a section of the screen that the cat had pressed out of place, and cleaned the screen, just because one had a brief bit of down-time during repair.

My pocket door would no longer move. Other contractors said they'd have to cut into the drywall to get to the door tracks. Then we'd have to repair the wall and paint it. California Sliding Door has a one-of-a-kind tool that enabled them to remove and replace the tracks through the door slot, without touching the wall. Fantastic! They also repaired the tracks on a patio door and window. They now slide beautifully. Great guys to work with, too.

He was not able to repair it because the door was so old. He tried to fix it but was unable to so he didn't even charge me. He said that they didn't even make the hardware any longer. He was very honest with me. He was on time and spent quite a bit of time trying to repair it. He was probably here 30 minutes. I had used them before and I was pleased with their work.

I felt the price was a little high and when they lubricated the door it sprayed the decking and it stained it for quiet some time.

Incredible. We had a 20 year old patio door whose tempered glass broke, then my handyman husband decided to cut the frame so he'd know exactly the right one at Home Depot to get as a replacement. Can you believe they didnt carry 20 yr old patio doors. Someone came out and told us the only recourse we had was to retrofit the entire patio fram for $1495. I called Terri, told him the situation and he told me to bring the door to him when my husband came home and he'd fix it. It's been 90 degrees for two days so I cant wait to see my electric bill (air conditioning.) It was a Friday night and we didnt get there till 8pm. He told us it would take 15 minutes, it did and he saved us from days of wasted airconditioning and a huge quote to retrofit doors. I am thrilled that he thought us such a creative solution, was great about dealing with us within hours of my calling him.

He was early! He is a trip - brusque, to the point and completely down to earth. His daughter was with him training and helping him. They were lovely, helpful, went over and above and after they were done, the door slid like a large dog on a polished floor!

It went perfectly. They arrived timely, had everything they needed including brute strength and didn't leave any mess behind. Very reasonable price, too.

It was an excellent experience. They were professional in and out in a very timely matter. They pointed out some things to us that we were not aware of. They explained the repairs. We were happy with them.

The handle on our 13 year old Window Master sliding door no longer locked, so we checked the local hardware stores for a replacement. None of the stores carried what we needed. We checked more specialized stores, also without luck. Finally, we were referred to Terry. I called and explained the problem. He wanted to see the handle. So I went to his place, and he recognized the handle immediately. He explained that the company was no longer in business and that the only person who carried the handles charged a very high price. He called a couple of hours afterward and said that he ordered the handle even though he had not asked for a deposit. As soon as the handle came in, he called. I picked it up, and it was exactly what we needed. Because we were in a bind - get a replacement handle or get a new sliding door (with all the mess of installation and patching), he could have charged a much higher price. I doubt that he made much money on the sale, and he went out of his way to get the handle for us. We definitely appreciated his efforts.

He and his partner were on time and very neat. They replaced rollers on the doors and cleaned the tracks to improve the movement. These are heavy, heavy doors, so I was impressed that they got them moving again.

They came out to our home and gave us an estimate. We agreed to the price and they took the screen. They came back a week later and installed it. Their workmanship is excellent.

We purchased our condo last year, and this past Winter, we had a very rainy two months. During the rains, we were stunned to discover significant amounts of water coming in through our sliding glass door (leading out to our roof top deck) and down the wall, which ended up causing some damage to the drywall. We subsequently learned that the reason the water was coming in was due to the sliding glass door being improperly installed by the company who did the installation for the previous owner. I checked Angie s List and found California Sliding Door Repairs & Installation, so my husband called them and spoke with Terry, the owner. Although Terry can be a bit gruff over the phone, he takes care of business. We set up an appointment for a Saturday morning, Bruce and Charlie showed up on time, and they were fantastic. They were personable, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. They diagnosed the problem, explained what they would do and guaranteed that it would be a permanent solution. We set up an appointment for them to come back and do the work, once the needed parts were ordered and had arrived. We received a phone call within three days saying the parts needed were in and we set up an appointment for the following Saturday. Bruce and Charlie arrived when expected and within 1 hours, they were done. Bruce and Charlie guaranteed the problem would be fixed and they were 100% correct we have not had a problem since. They were punctual, efficient, and extremely friendly. We definitely would use them again in the future, and we highly recommend them.

I received same day service from California Sliding Door Repair. Charlie arrived on time and replaced the rollers on the bottom of my sliding glass door. He also suggested that I replace the old runner with a new stainless steal runner that would not pit like the one I had. It took Charlie about twenty minutes to do the job. He was very kind and easy to talk to. The owner of the company answers the phone for appointments. He is very gruff. Don't let that turn you off. He does not do the repairs. I was very pleased with the job Charlie did and will call this company again.

Bruce and Charlie arrived on time to take measurements. Great guys. They ordered the door and came back one week later to install the doors. Installation took about one hour. They were punctual and professional. They installed the new aluminum tracks over the old wooden tracks so that they didn't need to break the original frame but this did result in the loss of about 3" of head room on the closet doors.

We have a large double-paned slider that was extremely difficult to open. We sold our house, and we had to have it fixed ASAP for the sale to be completed. I called and The CA Sliding guys came out within 2 days and installed new rollers so it moved more easily. I only wish I had called them 5 years earlier!

These guys are fantastic. We had two glass sliding doors damaged by a break-in. They repaired the tempered glass on both doors, and they straightened the door frame on one of them to make it usable until a new replacement unit could be installed. When the new Fleetwood unit finally arrived a few weeks later, they installed it promptly. They were very professional and courteous. They called ahead of time to schedule a time to repair and install the doors, and they arrived on-time and even finished the work ahead of schedule. They are probably the neatest workers we've ever had.
