I would give high marks with their professionalism. They had knowledge of trees. They informed me that the spikes are bad for the palm trees. They avoided damaging the palm trees. The only thing I hate is they left drinking water bottles laying around. They did a great job of cleaning up the mess and the trees but they left the bottles behind. They didn't finish their clean up work.

Sutton' screw did an excellent job on all aspects of this work. They removed a two-story plus ficus tree that was very close to the house and a back retaining wall with no damage. Our three-story tall queen palm was removed to the ground with no damage to a camellia just a foot or so away. They were highly professional, quick, and expert throughout the work.

We shopped around Angie's List and found 4 top tree service people to bid for the job.  Sutton was by far the lowest so of course it made us double check the estimates and call back all the providers.  They came on time and quickly proceeded to do the jobs.  This included multiple tree pruning/trimming (pear trees, cypress pinetrees, orchids, magnolia, acacia, olive trees) and disposal.  They worked efficiently and even gave us suggestions on tree care and how to maintain the fruit trees we had while they were on site.  Did the job and asked us to make sure if everything is perfect/good to go before they left.  Cleaned up without a mess.  Definitely recommended and would encourage others to use them, great people.

The first visit the crew came out and did a very poor job of trimming.  I could see a little bit of trimming but not a lot.  So I contacted the company and the owner came out, looked over the tree and agreed that the crew did not do a good job.  He, therefore, sent out a 2nd and different crew who properly trimmed the tree.

I email Sutton Tree Service for transplanting two olive trees on my property.  I provided details for job including crane requirement.  Within the same day, Kristin replied and referred a crane company that can meet my crane needs.  I greatly appreciated Kristin's honesty and integrity because she saved me a few hundred dollars for Sutton not being the "middle" man.  She said why pay me for the middle man where you can call the crane company directly.

Dean showed up the time he said he would show up. His price beat about five other tree service companies we received quotes from. His crew came about four weeks later on schedule and finished the job on schedule. They cleaned up well. Palm tree trimming left less than what we expected but I figure it will grow back in no time. Same with the ash tree which still looks nice. They did leave a fairly large dent in the grass area when they cut down a tree.

I am so disappointed with this company.  I scheduled an estimate about a week and a half ahead of time, received a confirmation from them...but on the morning they were supposed to show, nothing.  I sent a note asking if they would like to reschedule and still nothing from them. Wow. 

Dean Sutton came to the property and made an estimate of what needed to be done. I liked his price and analysis.







So about a week later his crew came to the property and did a very good job. I felt I got really good value. There was no problem with the work and I was very totally satisfied with the results.

Dean was very prompt for his estimate and his crew seemed very knowledgeable. The visit was not completed until another day due to the unavailability of the stump grinder. This did not create any problem for us. The entire process went smoothly and professionally.

I called Sutton Tree Service at 1:00 on 3/13/14 to schedule an appointment for an estimate.  Because Dean, person who does the estimate was already in the area, he came over in 15 minutes.  He game me an estimate and said it might be a couple of weeks before he could get to my job.  That was fine with me since there was no rush on the tree removal.  However, later that day, Dean gave me a call and said he could do the job the following day about 1:00.  
The crew of two, Brian and Herardo, came about 12:30 the following day.  They were extremely efficient and very professional.  They finished the job in about 2 hours and cleaned up after themselves.  I could not be happier with the results and with their overall job performance.  I would definitely call Sutton Tree Service again if I should have tree issues in the future.

They were beyond amazing! They were super professional, absoutely punctual. The gentleman introduced himself and his team to us, kept us very well informed on what they were going to do. They took down two trees in the back, and a massive tree in the front. We have other homes and fences close to us, and not a single piece of wood was broken. They did a wonderful job of cleaning up and picking up everything. They are all amazing! They even did a price match for us at the last minute!

However, I have since found a less expensive service, The Stumpmasters: (760) 749-5330. Their price was cheaper to remove some palms. It would be good to get estimates from both for a particular job._x000D_|They are both good companies, however. I would use Sutton again if the Stumpmasters went out of business. They are both less expensive than the Branch and both are insured.

It went very well.  They arrived when scheduled ready to work.  The ficus tree was hanging over into our neighbor's yard, so they trimmed that part and the part where it was touching our roof.  They also thinned it out.  The bay leaf was over 12 feet high and desperately need a haircut!!!  They trimmed that down to about 6 feet and thinned that out too.  The two birch trees are in our front yard.  They had grown way higher than our 2-story house.  They topped them and thinned them too.  It took maybe 2+ hours and after they left, there wasn't a stick out of place!!!  I would hire them again in a minute!

The tree  was close to my home so I was really  worried about the tree toppling into it, debris flying into windows, hitting my neighbor's cars, etc. But his work crew was very professional (and polite), there were no mishaps and they did a good clean up job at the end.  Came to my home when they said they would and had the whole job finished way before I thought they would.  At a  fair price, too!  Thank you to the other reviewers who led me to Sutton Tree Service.

We had previously scheduled an estimate from Sutton that they did not complete causing me to give a terrible review. Turns out the company tried to contact but had the wrong contact number. We gave them another try. I'm glad I did. Our tree was extremely overgrown standing at about 35'. I was given an estimate of 250.00 for the tree and 150.00 to clear our back hill. Very reasonable! I was told they would reduce the tree by 30% and shape it. The crew arrive 10 mins. early and went to work. They were fast and efficient. Started at 730 am and were done by 9 am. The tree was reduced by more than 30% and shaped beautifully. The hill was cleared as promised. Not a single leaf was left behind from the clean up! We are very happy! We still marvel daily at how good the tree looks!

They showed up on time, did a great job trimming the trees and cleaning up the job site when they were finished. The staff was very friendly and respectful.

They took two trees out for us. They were prompt and professional. They did a great job and cleaned up well.

Quick to respond to email inquire. Went and took a look and got a written quote via email. Got the job scheduled and they got the job done as scheduled. The tree looks really good. They cleaned up and took care with all the decorations on the deck, left the place nice and tidy.

Everything from the first call, in which I spoke to Kristen (I'm pretty sure/really hope that's her name) until two days later when they came and did the tree removal, was fabulous! The owner (Dean) came right out to do the bid on the pear tree, and while he was there, I asked him how much extra to take out the other trees, and he said "oh, make it another $75" - so I said go for it.
The guys that came out did such a great job - as I had two medium-large plants just under the biggest tree, that I had asked them to please be careful of. I wasn't really expecting them to do the amazing job that they did - but my precious plants were untouched when they left! They left the area even cleaner than it was when they showed up - not a leaf or piece of tree in sight! I was thrilled, and have recommended them to everyone I know! I also got a nice Angie's List discount!

The job went very well.  The crew consisted of four people who were efficient, friendly and aimed to please. They always checked with me on each trimming task to make sure I was satisfied and trimmed more where I asked them to.  They were respectful of the neighbors yards when cutting branches over their property.  The Acacia tree was a big project, and while the tree itself was down in a about 3 hours, the roots took several more, but they persisted until all visible roots (which extended across the yard) were removed. In taking down the Acacia tree which had branches  intermingled with the neighbors palm, a few palm branches were broken.  In the evening, when the neighbor pointed it out I called the company and they sent someone out within 24 hours to trim the broken branches for her--no charge and no hassle.  I recommend them to anyone. Given their level of professionalism and expertise, I found their prices to be very good.
