Fantastic. Matt has an exceptional team of men and managed the job, along with his assistant in such a professional manner. He has hand picked his guys and has phases done according to the guys' expertise. I don't write many reviews but this is truly one of the best oiled machines I've ever seen. I own my own business so when I see a company that runs the way I run mine where the customer comes first I have to recognize them and this company is really exceptional. They made suggestions to save us money because they knew we were working with a limited budget and the job came out beautiful. We were renovating an old mobile home and it looks fantastic. If you're looking for a superior company, with talent, this is the company. I recently used them also on a condo I had damaged drywall in and they came and knocked it out in a day. Just amazing.

I contacted Matt Clark from Clark Drywall early in the morning and he was able to come to the property the same day. He gave me an estimate that was considerably lower than a previous estimate I had received, and was able to commit to starting the job very soon, which worked for me with a tight move-in schedule. They did not require a deposit of any kind and started work on-time. They were able to correct a few minor framing issues that had been exposed by the mold remediation as well, which was a big relief and made the end-product really great. Matt was constantly updating me on the status. They had hoped to finish in just 3 days, but their crews had some conflicting jobs and Matt was very clear about the delays, which were acceptable and still well within the deadline I had given them. Matt even offered some helpful advice on some work I had decided to do myself to save some money. Clark Drywall is a real pleasure to work with!

I made an appointment for an estimate with Matt Clark, the owner of the business. He showed up along with another associate, at the agreed upon time (actually a few minutes early), and did a thorough analysis of what it would take to drywall, insulate, create a ceiling for my garage and a few other enhancements I had requested. They carefully measured the dimensions and were very up front about the types of material that would be needed, the time it would take, and the total cost. Their professionalism was impeccable, yet they were approachable and extremely helpful in making recommendations. I was given a written estimate within a few days. Over the course of the following week, I decided to make some reductions to my original plan for budgetary reasons.

I should add at this point that contractors frequently lose untold hours driving all over creation giving bids to unserious potential clients and  in the process also incur huge, uncompensated fuel costs. It goes with the territory, but it is a perspective that is never considered by the other side. The reason I mention this is because when I communicated my desire for a new, pared down estimate to Matt, there was no problem, no drama, no attitude. He was more than happy to come out again and re-bid the job.

Matt's attitude, professionalism, courtesy and experience were enough to convince me.

When the agreed upon date arrived, the crew showed up on time and began to work their magic. They transformed a bare bones garage built in 1953 into a near palace for my car and tools. The garage interior not only looks better than any other garage on my street, it looks better than any room in my house! (Thanks a lot, Matt).

At any rate, I would grade Clark Drywall as BEYOND the gold standard in that they exceeded not only my expectations, but they also exceeded the level of product they promised to deliver. (How often do you run into that?) My recommendation: hire them and enjoy the ride. You'll be glad you did.

Matt, (the owner), called me promptly after I left him a message.  He was very courteous on the phone and worked with me on scheduling the estimate.  He was very prompt for the appointment and very professional in describing the work that would need to be done to repair the hole in our drywall.  His guys came out and did a perfect job.  They were careful in not making a mess and cleaned up thoroughly after the work was complete.  You can't even tell where the work was performed because it was  such quality workmanship.

Matt came out to give an estimate on some drywall repair following a plumbing project that required some walls to be opened.  He's a ways from where I live in Burbank, but despite the fires going on out near where he's based in Oxnard, he braved the traffic and came and gave me a very fair estimate.  I didn't use Matt, but honestly, the only real factor that led me to go for another contractor, was how close by he was.  I felt comfortable with Matt as well, and wouldn't have hesitated to use him.

Initial appointment was missed to due because workers were tied up on another job.  When Matt - the company owner - found out the call and apologized profusely.  He assured me that is not how his company does business and he would do whatever it took to make things right.  Normally when workers miss an appointment I write that company off as one of the way too many flaky operators out there and move on.   However, after talking to Matt, I was impressed and decided to give them another chance.  Even the best companies can have an occasional glitch. They showed up promptly at the rescheduled time, patched and textured the wall, cleaned up, and made an appointment to return after the work dried to repaint and remount hardware.  They showed up slightly early for the follow-up appointment and did an excellent job matching the paint. You would never know the wall has been patched.  I am doing some remodeling at my office and will definitely be using Clark for the framing and drywall work.  I recommend them highly.

Their service was excellent.  The guy gave me a very good quote, but it is not within my budget so he lowered it.  His work was fantastic because he negotiated with me.  He did my whole house skim coating and drywall.  He did it all in about three days.  They cleaned up after themselves, which really surprised me.  His service was just great.  If you are not satisfied with the service, you can call him the next day.  I did not have to call him at all, but he did call and followed me up to see if everything was fine.

Matt was very courteous on the phone.  He came out promptly and did not hesitate to do the work for us even though it was a small job. He was neat, polite, did an excellent job.

I spoke with Matt about my acoustic ceiling removal.  Although I caught
him while he was traveling, he was very responsive and attentive.  He
knew I wanted to get it done ASAP and had sent out one of his guys to
give me a quick estimate that Saturday (while he was out).  I called him
on Monday and confirmed I wanted to get it done.  His team got to work
on Tuesday morning (7:30am) and was done by Wednesday (3pm). 
Even
though his business is based out of the Valley/Oxnard and I live in the
SG Valley he was quick to the job and got it done flawlessly.  He
quoted me a fair, competitive price on the acoustic removal and he also
removed some wallpaper from the wall for me.  They also have this
special texture for the ceilings that my fiance really liked.  I've been
told by most contractors that if I want the ceilings completely smooth
it will cost me substantially more.  Matt has a guy on his team that
does this hand texture, which is the closest I've seen to smooth yet
still considered textured.  Overall, the ceilings look great and I'm
happy with it.
I would work with Matt again.

i removed the acoustic ceiling myself, under the acoustic was plaster that i wanted to be smoothed out for a nice finish..wayyy too much work for me to do myself, so i decided to hire someone to do the work. After calling a couple different people for estimates on a Saturday morning...i called Matt which is the owner, he came from Oxnard which is about an hour drive to my house just to give me an estimate on a Saturday morning..i thought that was Plus #1..he explained to me the process of the work he was going to perform. ex. how many coats, how they prep, estimated time of completion, and final product. also gave me tips on how to paint the ceiling for a nice painted finish. He started work at 7 am prompt and on time just as he said he would...him and his crew worked hard all day in 100 degree heat with no a/c in the house.. they smoothed out two layers in about 1000 sq ft of ceiling in one day...they let it cure for a complete day and returned Wednesday morning at 7 am as he said he would to apply another thin finish coat and sand to a smooth...smooth finish..The final product looked GREAT! just as i was hoping it would turn out. I would definitely recommend Matt and his company to anyone that needs drywall repair.. PRICE was fair.

We had about 1200 square feet of popcorn ceilings that we wanted removed. They turned out to be plaster and had to be filled rather than simply scraped. Matt came by on a Wednesday morning to quote the project ($2.75/sqft) and was able to start the next day. He expected the project to be finished by Friday. He arrived on time (7:30a) on Thursday with 2 guys who very quickly got to work taping off and protecting all the surfaces of the house. At 12:30p, we were pleasantly surprised with a call from Matt saying he would be done in an hour. Turns out he had added 5 guys to his team after we left, and a 2-day job was completed in 6 hours.
It was like walking into a whole different house. The ceiling looked wonderful, and was really well done. They cleaned up nicely, recommended products for priming and caulking and gave advice on drying time. Matt also followed up by phone the next morning to make sure we were happy with the job. 
We are considering another drywall project in the garage, and will certainly work with Matt again.
