I can't help but think they had no interest in small jobs, but rather just came in to sell their $thousands package. Read the other reviews and you will see the pattern. That's bait and switch in my book, a waste of $109, and I just thought you should know. Look at the reviews. The people who shelled out the big dollars do seem to be happy with the result. But if you just want rats trapped, look for another company.

I went through 3 useless exterminators before I got on Angie's list and found these guys. From the moment my first call was answered on a Saturday (by Heather - so patient and great at explaining the process) to the time the last technician left our house we experienced nothing but professionalism. They understood the urgency of the matter (as you can imagine my tenants were not happy) and accommodated us every step of the way.
Rodent Stop is worth every cent as they guarantee their work and the guarantee is transferable. Unlike the others who charge you a few hundred bucks here and there to set useless traps and shrug their shoulders when you ask for a real solution, Rodent Stop gets in there and inspects every nook and cranny of your home (attic, under the house...), evicts the intruders, disinfects the premises and makes sure that all possible openings and holes allowing these critters into your home is properly blocked. Then they followup a week later to make sure all is in order.

They did that with me! The office person, Heather, was excellent. She made sure every things was done properly and was punctual and professional at every turn of the process.
The workers were polite and performed as a team. One of the managers, Ray, was here was well to over see and help. My door bell got disconnected and they came right back and fixed it. Ray said he was happy to work for a company that honored the customer as well as their workers.
The price was a little higher than the others, but here's why. One company had a one year guarantee. The second company had a five year guarantee. RODENTS STOP not onlly offered a life time guarantee - but it is transferable. The small amount extra that I paid was well worth the service I received. Also the life time warranty gives peace of mind now and will help when we sell the house later!
I asked a lot questions and always felt as if they wanted me to understand fully and be happy. Their effort shows in the review you are now reading. I've done a lot of work on my house and believe me - it is a nightmare out there with a lot of other companies doing whatever you need to be done. Talk is cheap. You purchased a $29 inspection-and did not pay $2400- the deal you bought was for an exclusion inspection, to see where rodents are getting in from and stop that from happening. We performed the inspection, and found there were many entry points, at which time we gave you an estimate. It is impossible that we asked you to sign a contract-because we don't have contracts. Many landlords do not want to put the necessary work into a rental property, and look for the minimum to keep the problem at bay, but we are not the company for that-we offer a 1 time solution, with a lifetime guarantee, so we are sorry that we weren't what you were looking for, although it did not merit this review. None the less-Rodents Stop wishes you the best of luck in all endeavors, especially in solving the rat problem for you tenants and their pets."

- david was great! came out and gave us a free estimate for a rat infestation we had in the attic and basement. he was very knowledgable about rodent psychology and how and why they get in. his crew came out right away and cleaned up all the old droppings in the attic and basement and sealed every possible hole where any kind of critter could enter. set traps and came back to follow up. we have not heard or seen anything since! i would definitely recommend Rodents Stop for any of your pest control needs! AND david offers a life time guarantee- so he stands by his work and effectiveness. it was worth every penny. thanks again!

Although, I can not comment on the demeanor of the technician, because only you and him would know that, i can say that when doing an exclusion which is the base package we offer, and include in all other packages as well-it is policy to replace all of the crawl space doors, foundation vent covers, attic vent covers, etc, to ensure nothing can get in. Hence-exclusion. Maybe this was a misunderstanding between the technician and yourself, but that is always included and never an additional cost. The owner of the company came out as scheduled to inspect a closet where in preparing turn it into a wine cellar I found a large amount of rat droppings. I wanted the company to get rid of the rat problem and conduct a regular service to make sure they did not return. After inspecting the area, I was told that the rat infestation was old and there was no current evidence of a problem. I was advised how to sanitize the area and prevent a future problem without hiring Rodent Stop. I could not be more satisfied with the professionalism and honesty I was provided.

Could a homeowner do this project by him/herself? Of course! And, I say go for it ... but then be prepared to call professionals within an hour of the beginning of the project. ;-) You'll be glad you did.
The feeling that I have about this company is that from the owner to the guys who worked the attic, there is an expectation of getting the job done and getting the job done RIGHT. The members of the crew sent to work with us were extremely well-trained and understood what to do and what not to do (a concept that some contractors have trouble with). Each member of the crew had a job and worked very well together and worked together well in completing our project. After each day, the crew cleaned up and made certain that all details were complete and made sure to talk with me before departing. They were clear in making sure that I understood what the goal was for each day. In short, the crew exemplified efficiency and the phrase "working like clock-work" comes to mind. While the crew was a pleasure to have on our property, I do hope NOT to have to have them work here again ... in short, I'm hoping that the issue of rodents in the attic is solved. :-) The Rodents Stop "lifetime" warranty is certainly a back-up and I have absolutely no doubt that if the indoor rodent problem on our property is not fixed they will come back as promised.
A company is more than the owner and the guys in the trenches. A pivotal part of making a major project succeed--as ours did--is in the scheduling, billing and follow-up. Heather was an exceptional contact in the office and her cheerfulness (and I mean CHEERY!) was always in evidence even when I presented a scheduling problem for her to solve. Everything (and, once again, EVERYTHING!) that was needed as back-up, billing and follow-through was done exceptionally well by Heather. Thank you, Heather! :-)
