My Samsung front loading washer was unable to spin properly and after reading several positive Angie's List reviews, I decided to give Lerman Appliances a try. I requested service via e-mail and was contacted within 24 hours by Val. We discussed the nature of the problem and after some more questions and answers, set up an appointment. Vitaliy arrived promptly on the date of the appointment and was able to quickly ascertain that the computer board was probably the problem. He called his local supplier for the part, but it was not in stock. He told me the part and labor would probably be around $350 - $400 and asked if I wanted to go ahead and have the part ordered and the work done. I said yes and he said he would call within the next 24 hours to let me know when he would return to complete the job. After the part came in a few days later, Vitaliy returned and installed the part in less than an hour. The final cost was 50 cents over his estimate and he apologized for going over. The entire process was very professional and all my questions were answered. Best of all, the washer now performs better than when it was new!

The washing machine would not start, unless you slammed the lid down. They came out the day I called them. They had the part on the truck, and they fixed it on time. So, there was no downtime for my appointments. The gentleman who owns the company was very professional. He was easy to understand. The technician fixed it. He was not there that long. If I had an appliance that was broken, I would call them first.

They are fabulous. Their prices are really good. They did it all in one day.

The oven wasn't lighing properly so I called Lerman Appliances in the morning. They said they'd call back after checking with their workmen in the field. Within the hour the dispatcher called back and said he had someone in the area who could come in the next few hours. The worker came very shortly and after some explanation and checking it out, replaced the igniter. It was a perfectly normal experience with competent people who showed up and did the job. A nice change! The workman did not speak much English, but we understood each other - and the dispatcher was careful to mention this to me in case it was an issue. Not a problem. I have their card and would definitely call them again.

He was the most professional repairman I have ever enountered. I would definitely use him again.

They did a great job! The first replacement unit they installed was defective. They responded to the problem immediately and replaced the defective unit with a new one at no charge. We're ready for summer cocktails!

He was on time, knew what he was doing and finished his tasks quickly and efficiently. This is the third time I have used this company and I would recommend them highly to everyone.

Went very good, no issues or complaints

Called for service repair. Technician came out same day and early within given time frame. I explained the problem (thought a coin had gotten lodged below the drum causing metal on metal grinding sound when drum was moving). Was given a quote for work. Work was done professionally and neatly - the entire front shell of the washer was removed along with several parts inside to access the area from which the noise was coming. Cause of problem was a nail (not a coin). Clean up was done quickly and invoice produced with Angie's list discount noted. The price seemed to me on the high end considering no parts were needed, but overall I was pleased with the company.

Finally...an honest and professional appliance repair service. I spoke with Ilya at Lerman Appliances, who asked for the model number and serial number of my dishwasher. Contrary to all the other places I called (who would only schedule a $40-50 service call), he researched my problem and called me back with a very fair quote. Took a few days to get the part (which wasn't an issue since I could still use the dishwasher), but he stayed in touch with me every step of the way. He came this morning and replaced the part for the promised price and all is well. I have had horrible experiences with appliance repair shops in the past, and am glad to finally find one that I would call again if the need arises.

This is a rental property so I was not present for the repair. My tenant stated they were very friendly and professional. Val, the owner, called me at work to tell me the repairs required and the cost. I went ahead with the repair. A week later, my tenant notified me that the back two burners were not turning on. I contacted Val, and we set up an appointment for the following week. Val told me my initial repairs were under warranty. The technician went out and fixed the problem and it was no additional charge. Overall the experience went well. I would use this company again.

The technician was prompt, expert and quite personable. I highly recommend this family-owned business.. Their fees were significantly lower than Sears and they completed the repair in one visit.

Very responsive company. From the first phone call, which was answered by a live person which is so welcome (and so rare), I had the sense of a very professional company. The person on the phone, whom I believe is one of the family/owers, got all my information about the problem and was able to dispatch a repairman that same afternoon. Ilya arrived promptly and narrowed down the problem to one of two computer switches, neither of which he had in stock. He ordered the two switches and returned two days later and installed one, which turned out to be the culprit and the machine was once again back to full operation. Ilya was very efficient, professsional and friendly and explained everything to me clearly so I had confidence that he could solve the problem. While he was there he also re-leveled the machine as it had been vibrating all over the place during the spin cycle.\ I happily would use them again next time I need appliance repair.

They were excellent. I can't say enough about them. I would give them plus, pluses, if possible. They were reliable. They called and came when they said they would. They were great!

Went well. Was given a 2 hour window for arrival to do the job. Arrived about an hour in. Once on site the job was done very quickly.

While the folks at Lerman are very nice and responsive my experience was very negative. I called to have an issue with an ice machine repaired and to address an ice build up in a separate refrigerator. The technician made 4 visits for the ice machine that was over producing ice. (bin sensor broken) By the time the technician was done the ice machine was 100% non-functional. He blamed it on prior servicing saying the wires had been improperly connected and it was just a fluke that the machine was operating to begin with. I ultimately had to replace the unit at a cost of $1975. With the refrigerator Lerman made another 3 visits and never resolved the issue. They ultimately refunded all of my money which I give them credit for. I then found another company to service the unit and they alerted me to the fact that there was a "known issue" and that the manufacturer had sent out bulletins to that effect and had created a "repair kit" for the issue. I was very disappointed that Lerman was not up on the latest info regarding this and that after so many visits they had not attempted to contact the manufacturer or research the issue.

Delighted with their service: Arrived punctually for estimate and repair. Provided all services listed in estimate at that price despite the fact that two men worked for 5.5 hours until almost 9 p.m. Installed a heating element not originally in this model refrigerator...but in newer models... to prevent future problem such as the one causing (hidden) water leak under the 'frig for months. One of the workmen was the owner's son: the company is in good hands!! We will use them from now for all our appliance needs..

Called Friday, scheduled repair for Monday. Repairman arrived on time, was professional, cordial, respectful and honest. Repair was diagnosed and the work completed within an hour. Great job. Great service. Add another grade A rating to this vendor's already stellar reputation on Angie's List.

The service from Lerman Appliances was excellent. I placed a call on Sunday and got a response the next day. As I was traveling it took me a while to get back to them but was able to call and schedule and appointment for this Friday for a service tech (I think it was the owner himself) to come and take a look at our dishwasher which had gone from loud to extremely loud in a matter of weeks. He explained that the motor was not functioning right and it looked like it had been not working properly for some time and causing possible damage to the floor. In addition our door spring was broken. He gave us an estimate to fix both and said they most likely had the part in the shop, and would be back same day to fix it. He came back about an hour later and fixed our dishwasher. We are very pleased!

I needed repair on my Whirlpool refrigerator--new water filter would not "catch" and stay in. Service rep arrived on time as promised. Problem was that spring designed to "catch" and hold water filter cartridge was broken. Since he was able to "power" a new cartridge in satisfactorily, he suggested that when it is time for a new filter cartridge I have the actual repair (which he quoted) done at that time--thus delaying an outlay of money until absolutely necessary. This was appreciated.

You call, get an appointment, and within days, maybe even only 1 day, they show up. Fixed the stove no problem. Needed a part for the washing machine. Came back 2 weeks later and fixed the washing machine knob. Very courteous. So great to have it done and everything working. At first I thought the price was high. But then I spoke to my husband, who knows the prices for these things, and he was amazed and thought the price was terrific. So that changed my mind, and I can only say good things about this company.

Great. The technician came out, diagnosed the problems, gave me an estimate for repair, and then the cost of the initial visit was applied against the overall bill. He was on time, knew what he was doing, explained the problems, and the repairs were done properly. And he was tidy, which is a rare quality.
