I would appreciate you taking a moment to check your receipt and make sure it was my company that was out there. There are many other companies out there that have the word Chimney Sweeper in their name and customers sometimes get confused. If the work was done at a different address please let me know. I would like to address any issues you have with the service. If you check all our reviews over the years they have been favorable and most of our clients have never felt that we tried to upsell them in the 45 years we have been servicing your area. "I was not aware that you were not happy with the service provided you. I apologize that we were not able to provide you with a level of service that you would find acceptable. I am not too sure as to what part of the service you were not happy with. I have this job under different name in our database but the dates of service and address are the same. I see from the notes that we were called out on a visual evaluation and cleaning if necessary. The technician did not do the cleaning but noted on his evaluation that the partial rebuild did not look like it was done correctly and that the chase cover was not attached and there was no storm collar. Other items were also noted that had issues. For the tech to know if the partial rebuild was done correctly in his opinion was to do a camera scan to check the bond beam and other issues. He discussed this with Mr. S on 2/4/14. I do have Mr. S email in our records requesting the pictures to be sent to him and I am assuming that if some were taken, that they were sent to him. If the pictures were not sent, please let me know. The tech also gave an estimate of what the worst case scenario would be but with that said until further evaluation of the prior repair, we could not confirm or deny issues with the repair. I previously had the chimney cleaned and inspected by an Angie's List award winning chimney service company. They gave a price to seal the cracks in the crown and could do the sealing the same day. Being an economics major, I decided to get another quote. I called The Chimney Sweeper and Dan gave me a quote over the phone which was much lower than the previous quote.
Jeff showed up on time and was friendly, explained the repair and took before and after pictures.
By using The Chimney Sweeper I saved 40% by not using the first company and was very satisfied with the service.."I do not think that it was our company that was out at your home.
