The estimator responded very quickly with a thorough proposal that beat most other contractor prices and warranties. The only issue I had in the process was that the estimator said the job would be scheduled to be done in about 2-3 weeks. That was before thanksgiving. Unfortunately, due to high demand and his not being in touch with the backlog in scheduling, the job couldn't be done until February. By the time I found that out, we were deep into the rainy season and couldn't find another roofer to do the job sooner. However, they did get the job done at the time promised within the budget.

What I liked about this company was that it was one company that did both roofing and solar. I did not want to manage 2 different projects that needed to be done at the same time. Of course there were some issues that arose due to wrong color tile being delivered and weather conditions but what impressed me the most was that they resolved the issue promptly. Great quality work, I would use them again. I was most impressed with Lynnae and her organizational, followup and customer service skills!

The work was great and we were very happy with the results. We contacted T&G during a busy period of recent rains, and we also had a planned vacation so scheduling the work was a bit challenging but it worked out in the end.
The guys worked on our roof for about 3.5 days. I am not a roofer, but the work seemed quality, very thorough and with attention to details. Overall I would say T&G emphasizes on good quality, which is fine with me, even if it takes an extra half a day.
The final bill came without surprises, despite discovered some rotten wood that T&G replaced. This is usually 
a big concern in my experience, especially with potential unknowns, businesses quickly find ways to squeeze more money once the job is committed. Not T&G, closing the deal was quick and clean and the final bill was very close to what we originally discussed and expected.
I would definitely recommend and use T&G for future roof repairs. Solid work and no unpleasant surprises.

The entire experience went smoothly and just as they explained it would before I signed the contract.    I have received many positive comments from neighbors, including some who used other companies and were disappointed.

From the beginning of the job to the end, T & G Roofing went above and beyond in customer service and satisfaction. Lynnae is the project manager. She was also responsible for providing us with the estimated costs for the project. Our solar system was designed based on our annual electric usage so when the system is up and running, our electric bill should be pretty much zeroed out! The installation crew supervised by Jimmy did an outstanding job. They were very friendly, respectful and truly knew what they were doing from start to finish. Nate the electrician did the service panel upgrade. The wiring that Nate did was truly a work of art! The building inspector even commented that was the neatest panel wiring that he had ever seen. Lynnae was present during the inspection and stuck around and installed a wireless monitor so we can check to output of the solar panels. From the moment we made the first call to set up our appointment, to the installation of the rain gutters, rain barrels and rain chain, we were treated very professionally and courteously. Ron our estimator was very punctual and explained the entire process in terms we could understand. They were able to get the exact rain barrels that we wanted. The install team was right on time. They are truly artisans in their trade. They had to do some custom work around our bay window and it looks great. Can't wait for it to rain to see how the gutters and barrels are going to work. I would most definitely recommend this company to anyone contemplating the installation of rain gutters or rain barrels. This company offers a great product at a reasonable price and great workmanship and customer service.

   The first encounter I had was with the sales adjuster Mike. He was prompt and very professional. Mike was very efficient and gave me a quote within half an hour. The foreman, Santos, was also very prompt and courteous. His work was top notch and very thorough. The job did take longer than originally specified, but that was probably due to the condition of my roof and that it was so hot outside. Holly, the office manager was very courteous and always quick to respond to my questions. The whole process was done very professionally and I would highly recommend T& G roofing. I did use them to fix a leak in my roof in 1997. They did a great job then and that is why I went back to them for my reroof.

Came out to give me an estimate on a small roof leak. He identified and explained the leak quickly and I was very impressed.  He then added may other items to the estimate that were unrelated to the leak.  I liked his ideas but just needed to get the leak done asap and he agreed to get separate quotes to me -- one for the roof leak and one for all the other things that would have to be done over the coming years,   I never heard back from him -- even after I followed up to check in -- so I just gave up. 

UPDATE:  We had some missed communications and I believed Mike never got back to me -- when he realized this he called me immediately and provided the information I needed.  Very prompt and professional --trustworthy.  Will have him do my work afterall and then will update again when it is completed! :)

T & G installed my cement tile roof many years ago and it still looks great, so when it was time to go solar I gave them a call along with many other solar companies. Unlike the other companies, they listened to me and proposed a system that would fit my needs.  They gave me options on panels and since they are a roofing company, they were able to move a roof vent to accommodate my desire for a particular location.  Janet, Lynnae, Tom, and Mike are all very professional, knowledgeable, and just nice people to deal with. They give you an appointment time, not a four hour window, and show up on time.  They answer all your questions thoroughly and call you to keep you informed on how the process steps are going. The crews are easy to work with and talk to.  They clean up after themselves each day and the quality of the work is outstanding. Everything is well coordinated and the process took about 3 days. They had to replace my electrical panel and Nate the electrician made sure to label all the breakers in the new panel and he re stuccoed around the panel to perfectly match the existing stucco.  After I signed the contract, the system was up and running in less than a month and that includes all the city permits and SCE approvals and PTO. It's producing beyond the estimate and I can monitor it online with the Enphase Enlighten monitoring system that is awesome.

It was a pleasant experience from sales call to installation. They came on time and had professional staff working.  They were flexible and made any last minute changes I requested without hesitation. They did a good job cleaning up everyday and did it multiple times a day to ensure least impact on the surrounding areas. They did the job quickly within three days from start to finish.  I would recommend them without any hesitation.

Mike came out and provided us a quote for a new roof.  He was very professional and personable.  He was clear about the lead time to complete the project.  It took about five days total to complete. The team ended up uncovering a lot more damage when the initial roof was pulled off which resulted in the quote needing to modified due to additional dry rot that was discovered.  We weren't entirely prepared for the additional costs, but understood what was necessary to complete the job.

Of course this type of purchase is always painful, but necessary at some point.  The warranty is great and transferrable which is also a plus

It was great. He did a great job. They showed up when they said they were going to show up. They kept in contact with me for scheduling. They completed it when they said they were going to complete it. They were just great. They presented themselves very well. They did the demo in a day and actually the whole roof was done in 3 days. I actually got 6 estimates and they were the one I felt most comfortable with.

We originally had the inspection on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, and received a very thorough estimate/paperwork via email on the following Monday, Jan. 19th.  We signed our contract via email on Wed., Jan 21st, but we contacted them on Jan. 29th because we still hadn't heard back from them as to when our roof would be scheduled for repair.  (Our only concern and reason for the "B" rating on "Responsiveness.")  We needed to have the roof repaired ASAP because of mold on the ceiling and walls in our walk-in closet caused by the roof leak.  T & G expedited our scheduling and were set for repair on Feb. 4th.
The two T & G employees arrived on Feb. 4 around 8:30.  All work was quickly and thoroughly done, and by 1:45 they were completed with not only the repair, but had also fixed many other tiles/areas on the roof.  No trash was left - everything was super clean, and the roof looks great!!!!  The main representative that day was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and professional.
We are so pleased with the workmanship, professionalism, and price with T & G.  Even better, they offer a 5 year workmanship warranty!  We can't believe that everything was done in less than 6 hours!  We highly recommend this company!
