Called Steve's as they were on the list.  They came out the next day, even with high volume of calls as it was in the middle of a extreme heat wave here.  Daniel was very courteous and knowledgeable.  Got the job diagnosed and did the repair quickly.  I diffently will call them in the future for A/C and plumbing problems.

I used Steve's Air Conditioning and I actually got his name off of Angie's List and had a really good experience with him. His price was very good for what I got because I not only got the heating and air conditioning system I got my attic ducting redone. They were on time. There was a problem with my thermostat and it turned out that it didn't work with my new system for some reason, so he just replaced my thermostat. He even added a vanity plate onto the back of my thermostat because when he was doing my estimate I had mentioned that I didn't won't to get a new thermostat because it leaves that funny paint. He remembered that and he brought a vanity plate which covers up a bigger space in the back, so it looks good. He had a crew out to do the work, but he's in constant contact with them throughout the day and then he came over personally at the end of the day to check on the job and also to fix the thermostat issue. So, I felt very comfortable with it and we've been very pleased and I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

My air conditioner went out on an extremely hot day and since I couldn't contact the original company that did the installation, I contacted Steve's.  After missing the promised time frame for the technician to arrive, I called them to inquire what the problem was.  They had the wrong name but the correct address so don't no why that would be an excuse.  A Technician showed up shortly, was very professional and found the problem immediately.  He replaced the thermastat that was still under warranty from the orrigina installation.  I contacted the company that did the installation of the unit and was informed that Steve could have given me credit for the new thermostat and returned it to the manufacturer.  I contacted Steve and must have got him on a bad day as he seemed very agitated and argued he  could not honor the warranty because another company installed it and it was not the same manufacturer.  Even if he couldn't accomodate my request, I feel he could have been more professional and customer oriented and not so much on the defense.

"In response to the member above, At Steve’s Five Star Service, all of our preferred customers always get priority service. I have no idea why Ideal Comfort, the company that she told us installed the system does not have the priority service for their customers. With the extreme hot weather and our technicians full schedules (with the persistence of the above member) we were able to accommodate her. Our highly trained N.A.T.E certified technicians Diagnosed and repaired her a/c and got her cool the same day. Expecting a happy customer, she wanted me to warranty a thermostat we do not sell and that was from another company. She was told to contact the company that did the installation and have him get the serial # off the invoice and the thermostat for the warranty. Apparently he didn’t want to warranty his own work. Again, she was very persistent. If it was something that Steve’s Five Star Service had installed we would have had an invoice for the part and there would have been no labor or material charge to her. I am very sorry, but to keep a friendly efficient service company we can not warranty other contractors work. I thank everyone who understands our stand on this matter. Steve was proffesional from the start. He came to my home and gave me an estimate for the work and told me the best way to upgrade my system. His technicians came out and installed the system without a problem. They cleaned up the area and I have had no problems with the system since that time. One thing that they did not do to my satisfaction was the wiring was old and did not have enough wires to controll the new unit so they had to run the wiring in the attic. They made some holes in the garage but had a drywall person come out and fix them.

They were good. I was very grateful. I don't recall how much I spent on their service but whatever it was, it was reasonable otherwise I would have remembered it. I would have been mad. I remember it was hot and I made up my mind and called them. They came and fixed it. I was happy and I paid them. They did a good job.

I ENJOYED WORKING WITH THEM. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND EXPLAINED THINGS. THEY MADE SURE THINGS WORKED BEFORE THEY LEFT. I WOULD SAY THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. I CALLED THEM BECAUSE THEY INSTALLED MY HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING. THEY HAD IT DONE WHEN THEY PROMISED. THEY WERE EFFICIENT, AND THEY LEFT ALL THE INFORMATION AND BROCHURES FOR ME. I'M PRETTY SURE THAT THEY WERE ON TIME. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, YET EASY TO TALK TO. THEY DIDN'T USE A LOT OF INDUSTRY TERMINOLOGY. THEY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING WELL.
