Will never work with them again.  Michael Rodriguez came out and gave me an estimate on the job.  He came out on the first day and replaced some valves. He told me that he would finish the job the next day.  He then "no-showed" the following day. I had to call him to see why they weren't there.  I was irked by the fact that I stayed home from work that day for this. Michael didn't even seem to care.  He "apologized" by saying that another, bigger job took more time.  When I asked him why he couldn't have called me to keep me updated, he responded by saying that I should be grateful that he was fitting me in. I informed him that the scrupulous businessperson would have informed me that there would be other jobs taking his time, which would have affected my decision to hire him in the first place. He then effectively "walked off" the job by telling me to take a flying leap.

We contacted Cal Landscape and Design and a few other firms to get estimates on the job.  Jose was very responsive and professional.  After reviewing the bids, we went with Cal Landscape and Design.  They did the job quickly and professionally.  We are pleased with the results.  I would consider working with them again on other projects.

Excellent. They were punctual, professional, and excellent at doing the job well and on time. Their workers are employed by the company and their dedication, courtesy, and professionalism was beyond what we expected given other contractors that we've had do work for us in the past. Our yard is beautiful and at one of our recent BBQs a guest commented that the new yard looked like something out of Better Home & Gardens. We highly recommend them.
