So I used Allied Management for two years to manage my small condo. By the way, their new address is: Allied Management 1225 E. 16th Street Upland, CA 91784 ...they seem to move often so I'd thought I'd give you the updated address to make this review more relevant. Also, the company is Allied Management and not Allied "Property" Management like I wrote in the title. Year 1: Selena was my property manager and she was EXCELLENT. She had my unit rented within a month and she did a great job qualifying the tenant and later on managing my unit. Year 2: The problems started just around the end of my first year. I?ll try to keep this as short as I can. It all began when I went to collect my rent check to find out they moved. Their old office was in Upland off of Foothill and Monte Vista. This is where I would collect my checks as I had not set up direct deposit. I go to collect my check to find the doors locked and the officeempty. I double check the address and it says I?m at the right place. Anyway, I made a call and that?s where it was confirmed they moved. The secretary, Franya, apologized and said they must have missed my name from the mail list. Then my property manager, Selena leaves the company and that?s when the problems got WORSE. The company failed to tell me who replaced her or if I had anybody managing my unit. I didn?t know this until Allied Management needed my permission to make repairs. I?ll tell you this part later. Then the very next week, Annika calls me to authorize a repair to be made in my condo. I suppose I didn?t have a property manager so she was the interim manager, to this day I don?t know. I get in touch with her for the repairs to be made. A few weeks pass and I never heard back if the problem was fixed or if the repairs were made. So I call and the secretary, Franya says: ?I?m sorry, Annika no longer works with us. How can I help you? Well, she wasn?t able to help me but forwarded me to voice mail! Great, I?m getting the run around. Anyway, I was able to get the repairs. A few days go by and another issue comes up and another lady calls me to clarify some issues with paperwork. I think her name was Lesly. So I return the call and find out she no longer works for the company. So far, that?s three employees who have left the company in addition to the change of location. So this is the part where I tell you who my manager is. Finally, I?m assigned another property manager: Amanda. Beware of this property manager. This lady has no concept of time. If I had any type of questions she is next to impossible to get ahold of. I emailed and left voice messages and called several times but she still didn?t return my messages. This was frustrating! I finally sold my unit and of course it needed some maintenance. Mandy did a final inspection and said it needed some minor cleaning. Well, I did a secondary inspection and found several things she missed like paint on the floor, a chipped bath tub, bags of trash left in the drive, books left in the storage. All the while she charged me for the inspection! Why was I to pay for an incomplete inspection? Then she was to schedule an estimate to clean the place. Well, it took two weeks to find out when or if the crew was going to clean my place. By the way, she NEVER contacted me about the estimate, I had to call her. I clearly conveyed that I wanted Allied Management to take care of it, that?s what I pay them for. I got the estimate and it included a paint job, install base moulding and the cleaning. WOW! That was going to cost $3000, YIKES! Well, I never asked for that! I wanted my place clean and that?s it. So, it was finally completed and the crew they hired did a terrible job. Stains were left on the floors and walls, the floors were left with a haze and it was just a sloppy job. Just when I thought everything was over, I requested to close my account. Well, once again, Mandy wasn?t in the office to close my account so I had to speak to the secretary again. A short while later I receive an email from Mandy saying in order for me to receive my keys, I had to pay a balance. WHAT! My renter had a balance of $400 form late fees and part of the deposit was used to pay that. So Mandy paid the late fee and returned the money to the tenant BEFORE paying the cleaning crew the entire bill. Who or What company does that? So, they expected me to pay the balance. I had to go over there and express my frustration and Franya zeroed my balance and I got my keys. What a terrible way to do business. I will not recommend this company to anybody looking for property management. I had a very awful experience after the good employees left.
Description of Work: The company managed my 2 bedroom 1 bath condo over the course of two years. So, I'm reviewing for all aspects of property management.
