The master bath and kids bath work was done in January/February of 2012. We couldn't be happier with Verity and their work. So much so that they were the only call when we decided to build the basement 1/2 bath summer of 2013. Ted and Tony (co-owners) compliment each other quite well - Ted with design, vision, layout and products; Tony with timing and execution.
Reasons they won our business -
1) Design and Vision: our tiny master bath needed to be reconfigured to make it more user friendly. It was a complete mess. Of all the contractors we interviewed, Ted and Verity were the only ones that listened to what we hoping to see with a redesign, measured twice and came back with something that not only made sense but looked great. They clearly communicated what was possible, what as not, or took the extra step and time to see what they could work out in their designs. It was a welcome surprise.
Same goes for the 1/2 bath in the basement - much needed to be moved, reconfigured and designed. What Ted came up with I thought was a bit of a gamble or would cost a fortune in execution.
2)Costs - For the work and ideas they had put fort, we felt the costs were fair. The overall projects were slightly more than we wanted to spend, however, we felt we were not being slighted. Custom cabinets, glass framing for one of the tubs, pipe and copper reconfiguration, etc. We were hopeful the costs were not too much and we were right.
Reasons they'll keep our business -
1)Execution - Tony's timeline and daily updates kept the project on course hitting all deadlines. The basement 1/2 bath actually finished ahead of schedule. If there were changes that effected timing - they were clear with that communication upfront and described how it would effect the timeline before they moved forward
2)Availability - There was never a time we could not get a hold of either Ted or Tony before or during the projects. The horror stories of contractors disappearing once a job begins are abundant. Not with Verity. If Tony was not at our job for a day, he still provided a call and status report. Ted would come by and verify our satisfaction. It was more than welcome.

my rental unit had a water damage due to unexplained surge of water overnight.  I used Verity Bath before and was very happy, so I contacted Ted and Tony right away, knowing this job would require plumbing, drywall, etc repair.  It turns out they could do all!  and did them all exceptionally well.
i had living tenants so the goal was to finish asap and find solution that is long lasting.  to be proactive, we fixed all 3 bathrooms, replaced fixtures and their associated pipes and drains. new drywalls for damaged areas.  used spare tiles to finish the floor as new tubs are slightly narrower but deeper than old ones.
basically this water damage repair was becoming a bigger job than anticipated.  Ted was excellent and patient in helping me through to find cost effective solution that brings elegance to my rental.
aside from their strength in finishing a pretty much a near remodeling job of 3 baths in 2 weeks, i was equally impressed with Tony coming out on an emergency run to stop the water damage.
In sum, Verity is thorough, considers all aspect and delivers excellent service in excellent time.  Verity has excellent and talented staffs to do all sorts of work.    I will continue to use their service.

We got 5 bids for the job. Verity Baths was at the upper end, but we selected them because we believed they would deliver the quality we were seeking with few if any out-of-scope issues. They also had high Angie's List ratings. We were not disappointed.
Ted, the individual with whom we initially discussed the project and wrote up the contract, found it necessary to be out of town for most of the project. I knew this could be an issue, since it is impossible to get everything down in written form (i.e. the contract); however, Tony the Ops. Mgr. and we were able to reach consensus on those items that did not appear in the contract with little or no difficulty. We found all parties involved to act in a congenial and professional manner and to make sure that what they were doing was meeting our expectations.
We purchased our own porcelain tile and had a problem with the surface bullnose not matching the color of the field tile. Roberto, their excellent tile man was able to fabricate the needed surface bullnose tile from the excess field tile I had ordered (conservatively), thereby saving the project! Actually the outcome turned out even better than what we had planned. In a job like this, it is impossible to foresee all possible decisions that might need to be made. They did not make a move without ensuring that they were proceeding down the path we wanted. The job was done according to schedule, even though we supplied the hardwood flooring and the painting - it all dovetailed in nicely.

We knew we had found the right contractor for our bathroom remodel the moment we met Ted. He responded quickly and professionally to our inquiry and he was extremely personable. He clearly understood our vision and walked us through the process in a way that eliminated the stress and frustration that usually comes along with a renovation.
Ted patiently accompanied us to choose our tile, offering helpful advice and professional experience along the way. I take design choices pretty seriously, and I'm not one to make a hasty decision, but Ted was patient and understanding and never made me feel like I had to lock in a decision before I was ready.
We met Tony once construction started, he was active on the job site and made himself available to us if we had any questions or concerns throughout the whole process. He was a pleasure to work with.
After the first day of construction, I came home from work and was shocked at how clean the house was. The crew laid protective ramboard down to spare our wood floors and cleaned up the dust and debris from demoing so well that I wouldnt have even known they were there if it weren't for the fact that my bathroom was completely gutted. They maintained this cleanliness throughout the entire 4 week long project.
Everything moved exactly on schedule and the project was done exactly when it had been promised. There were no hidden costs, or unexpected expenses.
I would definitely recommend Verity to all of my friends and family looking to do a bathroom remodel. We love our new bathroom/spa retreat.

I had an emergency problem with my shower that began to leak. I called Tony at Verify and he came over later that day and recommended replacing the original shower enclosure due to its age. He was very knowledgeable and clearly explained the scope of work. The job was completed quickly (within 3 days including painting). The team worked very leanly, showed up on time and I am very happy with my bathroom makeover! I would not hesitate to recommend Verify for any bathroom projects.

I had an emergency water leak in my rental. Very severe! Called Verity Bath.  I am so very happy with my choice.  Toni came quickly as soon as he wrapped the work elsewhere. He removed the water damaged area (ceiling and wall), brought fans to dry the area and repaired the damage quickly. I am most impressed with his careful, thoughtful, systematic investigation of the cause.  Now I have happy tenants and peace of mind.  Thank you Verity Bath for another job well done.

Verity Baths had been referred to me through a friend who hired them to remodel two of his full bathrooms. Upon my first meeting with Ted I felt very comfortable in beginning my own home project. Ted's estimate was very detailed and he took the time to sit with me to walk me through his design concepts as well as the anticipated costs. I felt that he was very transparent when it came to the price and what to expect throughout the process. Ted took the time to help me shop for the major ticket items for each bathroom which was the most daunting aspect for me. He helped design the vision I had and I couldn't be happier.
Once the plans were laid out and the date was set Tony took over and did an amazing job of walking me through each step of the process. I appreciated the fact that he would call me at the end of the work day to give me a status update of the project and let me know the next steps. The team that worked for Verity were all very professional, neat and friendly. When I walked in the door at night it was never obvious that construction was taking place. Each crew member paid attention to the fact that I have two pets in the house and they made sure that they were secure at all times.
Jennifer was instrumental in helping to suggest paint colors and provide vital updates regarding payments, materials needed etc. She was very pleasant to speak with and always responded promptly.
A big thank you to Ted, Tony, Jennifer, Rene, George, James and anyone I may have missed. I absolutely love my new bathrooms and when I am ready to tackle my kitchen I will be giving these guys a call.

I can't say enough good things about Verity Baths, Verity Build Inc.  Ted Scheumann and Tony Davies head up a wonderfully run business where they have surrounded themselves with a crew that reflects there fantastic work ethic.  Jennifer Donalson, the office manager, kept me abreast of each process via Email,  Ted Scheumann personally helped pick out the tile, cabinets and design  and Tony Davies made sure my new bath was beautiful both inside and out!  The crew, Rene, George, Enrique, and Jose were not only hard workers but truly nice guys!

It was an excellent experience - from beginning to end - working with Verity Baths who exemplified professionalism.  I would use them again and recommend them highly to anyone who seeks quality craftsmanship.
I met with Ted mid Feb 2013 to discuss my ideas (I had already discussed with another designer so I had a basis for comparison).  Ted created drawings based on what I wanted but also supplied his own designs and ideas.  We settled on a design and Ted provided an estimate of costs including those that I would bear directly so that I could have an estimate of the total project.
Once overall design and contract were agreed upon, Ted worked on details such as finished cabinetry drawings and helped me with product selection - going shopping with me for tile and bathroom fixtures.  That was very helpful as I am not a plumbing expert and wouldn't have had any idea on what kind of valves or diverters one should have.
We scheduled construction to start on a date that was convenient for me and Tony took over at that point.  Construction started off well and then I took us off schedule by adding a flooring component after the fact.  Tony and his crew accommodated my addition with no hesitation nor issues.  We then stayed on scheduled until the last stretch when several delays occurred at the same time (not due to Verity Baths but due to manufacturer defects/errors), so we ran over schedule considerably, however, I never felt that my project was neglected and both Tony and Ted kept me apprised of changes as they developed.
I had a finished bathroom by early June and I'm extremely pleased with the final results.
Overall, the entire team at Verity Baths was a pleasure to work with.  Everybody was prompt, responsive, courteous, and kept their sense of humor even when things went off track.  They are a group of stellar professionals who are artists and craftsmen who know what they are doing.  They are NICE people to work with.  That means a lot.
I'm sure they are not the cheapest but I wasn't looking for cheap; I was looking for a quality product and top-notch service which is what I got.  If that's what you are looking for as well, then Verity Baths is definitely worth considering.
Btw, I found them on Angie's List so thanks to my fellow members for providing sufficient detailed info that put them on my short list of possible contenders! Cheers! :>

I called for an estimate for a master bathroom renovation and Ted showed up took measurements. He provided a 3-D image of the reconfigured bathroom. There were 2 estimates: One for our end and one for his end. 1) Our end included bathroom fixtures & accessories, tiles/grout, tub, toilet, sinks, 3 windows (tempered), decorative lights, painting, and mirror. 2) His end included building materials, shower enclosure, custom made cabinet, counter top, recessed lights, fan, and 3 doors.

His estimate for our end was a bit off; he budgeted about $5400 and it came out to be about $11,000. Granted he did not budget for the 3 tempered windows and higher end fixtures. Also, there was a large discrepancy between the painting estimate from Ted and the actual bid from the painter. But this is not Ted?s fault. Just remember that ?your end? estimate is very fluid; it will depend on what kind of fixtures, etc. you choose. The one from his end was about $29,000.  Verity Bath stuck to their end of the budget. His estimate was at the higher end (I received 4 different bids from contractors), but I expected high quality work and professionalism. I received both. Ted, Tony (the general contractor) and the Verity Bath crew were very easy to communicate and work with. There was communication between us every day and I knew what the plan was for the next few days. I would also like to give a special shout out to Donaldo, the tile guy, who was meticulous and took pride in his work. If there was an issue, Ted and Tony were reasonable about discussing and solving it. There was one issue in particular that came up, which pertained to the tile installation: Basic vs. more elaborate and if we had to pay extra for the more elaborate pattern. Ted and I discussed it and it was resolved amicably.  The completed project took 6 weeks and was about a week delayed due to two factors. One was the Grohe Company?s problem with supplying the tub filler. The other was the door fabricator company?s problems with communication that included not filling the order initially, which delayed the fabrication and delivery of the doors by 2 ½ weeks.
Verity Bath had to come back a few times to do a few minor things after the completed work, but this is a pretty standard procedure as things ?settled?.  Overall, we were very happy with the quality of work and professionalism from Verity Bath and would highly recommend them. When we are ready to renovate our other 2 bathrooms, we will surely give them a call.

They were very good, they were very responsive. They were looking to remodel a guest bathroom. We didn't go with them because it was too high of a quote but I feel like if I had a bigger project I probably go to them. I felt like they were very quick, very responsive, and they provided the quote quickly.

Both Ted and Tony were a pleasure to work with and were always prompt in returning our calls and answering our questions.  . They knew the latest building codes in our city and let us know during the design phase what we would have to change.  We took the bathroom down to the studs and were done in approximately 6 weeks. The bathroom looks stunning and is highly functional. They did lots of "unseen" work such as using pressure treated lumber to frame the jacuzzi tub and  placing wood blocks inside the walls where the towel bars, toilet paper holders, wall cabinet etc. would be installed. They even put in wood blocks where a grab bar could be installed in the future.  They took pictures of the inside of the walls showing plumbing, electrical, blocking etc so we will have a record for the future.Verity Baths concentrates on bathroom remodels only.  We particularly like that they allow the customer  to select the fixtures and tile from any source or supplier.  The cost of a bathroom remodel depends highly on the cost of the fixtures and tile chosen.  We feel Verity Baths was very reasonable for the design, rough materials and labor costs.Thank you Ted and Tony!

A++ from beginning to end! I first met with Ted to discuss what I wanted; he worked up plans and 3-d renderings that expressed what I
wanted as well as some great detail suggestions. Once the work started, Tony had the whole construction process really well organized. All areas that had to be accessed by the crew were protected, as well as additional protection when dusty work was to be done. Their work crew is the best, each and every one was respectful and pleasant to be around.
Ted and Tony are very creative guys, and seem to be able to know every corner of construction. The quality of the work is most impressive, everything was done right.
So, I have the bathroom I wanted (actually better than I originally planned), the process was smooth, people were great and the end product ... PERFECT! I'll definitely call them again, (I have one more bath yet to be done) and would not hesitate to recommend Verity 100%.
I'd also like to mention that the vendors that Verity suggested really knew their products and did terrific jobs; tile (Cal Tile);  bathroom fixtures (Ferguson); and painting (Justin Scott). My thanks to all.

Starting with the design process and all the way through finishing the remodel, Verity was great to work with.  We started out by meeting with Ted who took the time to understand what we had in mind and came back to us with his plan for the finished product, including some excellent ideas which we ended up incorporating into the project.  It?s a very shallow room and his suggestion of changing to a pocket door was one of the best changes that could have been made and not one we had thought of.
Everyone:  Ted, Tony, Rene, Jennifer, etc. was great to work with.  They also referred us to suppliers who took good care of us as well, Ted even met us at the suppliers when needed.  Their workers were neat and conscientious during demolition and construction.  While demolition was in progress, they isolated the area with plastic to keep the dust to a minimum and they kept all areas they had to walk through covered with plastic throughout the job.  On top of that, they thoroughly vacuumed every day before leaving.  As happens during these jobs, we came up with a few minor changes while the job was in process and the professional people at Verity took this in stride and took care of everything.  The room is beautiful and we are very pleased with the service we received from Verity Baths.

Originally purchased a coupon for a bath remodel from another contractor who did not perform.  Read some Angie List reviews and called Ted at Verity Baths.  I cannot tell you how happy I am with my new bathroom and how wonderful all of the employees at this company are.  I have zero complaints.  I had in mind an old fashion bath with a claw tub.  They worked with me to design the bathroom of my dreams.  Their tile person is a master and he even came back to do a backsplash in my kitchen.  All of the ceiling lighting, the ceiling shower curtain fixture were perfectly designed and placed.  They took me shopping for the tub, tile, toilet, sink etc., and held my hand all the way through completion.  The painter they recomended was so great he came back and painted the entire interior of my home.

It was nice to get a quote from them with detailed illustration to visualize the plan but I just wound up not going with them because it was too expensive. I needed other work and he only did bathroom work but I needed general contracting work. It was a great quote in terms of details for the bathroom, it was just too expensive and I had other things to take care of.

Ted and Tony were awesome! Fast responses to my emails and very nice. I received an itemized bid of the actual work they would do and even got a mini itemized sheet for what I would need to purchase so I knew what the overall cost of the project was upfront.

The crew was fantastic and did everything they could to minimized the dust for me and answer any questions that I had about what they were doing.

I could not be more please with how well everything turned out. I just had to paint the room and buy the supplies, everything else was taken care of.
