A year after the installation the glass doors are very water stained. I've used several products to remove what I thought were mineral deposits. I called the company and they suggested using their water stain removal for $50. I ordered the product and it does not work. The company does not guarantee their product. My conclusion is Century Shower Doors has a very low end product and uses inferior materials.

"It sounds like you are having a problem with the day to day maintenance of your glass. While we do carry a full line of cleaning products, it can be very difficult to clean water stains off of glass that has not been maintained properly. Please call us at out office and we will be happy to offer other ideas on how to clean your glass. Also, your claim that we use inferior materials is completely unfounded. You would have this same problem with any shower door, or window (anything glass for that matter) that is exposed to water and not maintained/cleaned. While it is clear that you are frustrated, it is really not our fault that your glass has water spots."

We went through our local Home Depot store to order the service. A few days after our visit, we got a call from Century Shower Door to schedule estimate visit. The guy came out as scheduled and took care of measurement. We didn't know, until he came, that the job originally called for fabrication and installation of door only. There was an additional $75 to de-install and haul away old door. We added that to the total job, since it would have cost us more in time and effort to remove the door on our own. Installation day, the guy came right on time, and was done within a hour. I was impressed with how neat he left the area (very little dust and debris, considering he had to drill and scrape away old caulking).

Hired them through another company. Century does custom shower doors, which was good for me because I couldn't find a prefab door quite the right size. I was delighted with the result -- superb quality construction, beautiful installation work, everything cleaned up afterward. I've never seen such high quality doors before, and they're really not that much more expensive than prefab doors after you figure the cost of installation.

They came out and measured the space so that our order would be correct. Both the estimate person and the installer were very personable and professional. The installer cleaned up well after himself and the door look and works great.

I've been busy with more pressing items in my new house, but am in the process of trying to find someone who will do my shower door. I had another company out here a month ago for an estimate. I just got a message yesterday that they had an estimate to give me. I say, no thanks.

YOUR REQUEST IS MORE OR LESS THE SAME AS ORDERING AN ENTIRELY NEW UNIT. WHILE, I'M NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOUR EXACT REQUEST, IT SEEMS VERY REASONABLE TO SPEND IN EXCESS OF $1500 FOR US TO REMOVE, RE-INSTALL AND ORDER THREE NEW PIECES OF GLASS (PLUS THE NEWLY REQUIRED HARDWARE TO MAKE THE JOB SAFE). The shower doors they use are the best quality I've seen. They function much better and longer than any other shower doors we've had. The doors they repaired were theirs originally, we've had them since 1986 and they only needed new rollers. The other doors we had, which were from another company, were newer yet needed complete replacement. Robert, the man who came to give the estimate, was on time, friendly, informative and efficient. The worker who did the actual work was also on time, polite and efficient, and did a good job cleaning up. We're very happy with the new doors and the repaired doors.

We wanted quality shower doors put on our remodel and were glad to hear Century is now serving the Bay Area, as we used then in So Cal years back. Lee spent a lot of time with us going over our options, and the final doors look great. Installation was done on time, and perfectly. Received multi-door discount. The Tekron coating recommendation is making the doors very easy to keep clean. Wish I had more bathrooms to put shower doors on!

WELL THEY WERE REALLY CAUTIOUS BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO BREAK ANYTHING. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THEY DIDN'T WANT TO HURT ANYONE.
