Hi [member name removed], I remember your house. This was 6 +months ago that we visited you. You had a water stain on your kitchen ceiling and wanted me to tell you where it came from and why it was there. The water stain was dry also if I remember correctly. You paid for a half hour visit as I can tell. I looked upstairs and ran your shower with no sign of water coming downstairs. The shower was just above the stain in the ceiling. Yet no water appeared. I know you remember this. I also flushed your toilet several times, suggesting it could be a broken drain line from that, yet we saw no water. I spoke with your wife and you for 45 minutes about the issue and said I can't see any water coming down with my eyes and you didn't see any water either. I told you we could open the ceiling to look further inside the soffit framing, but you didn't want to do that. We can only do so much [member name removed] in a half hour (and you got 45 minutes) my X ray vision just can't see through drywall or any solid objects for that matter, so sometimes you must open walls to see what the issue is. You didn't want to do that so we suggested you keep an eye on the issue. Sorry we weren't in a position to magically solve your mystery stain on the ceiling. It's like asking a mechanic to tell you what's wrong with your car without opening the hood, or asking a doctor to tell you what's wrong with you when you have a chest pain without having further tests done. We are not magic [member name removed], so sorry you didn't get a good experience, we always try our best, and in your situation there was no water so how can I tell without opening the ceiling ? Sometimes things take further work [member name removed] and you weren't up for that. As a person trying to respect your home I have to respect your wishes. Hi , Thanks for the positive comments and sorry for the price not being what you expected. We don't always know exactly what we are in for when we go out to tackle a problem. In your case we also needed new trim pieces and it was a bit of a fight changing things out. We will always focus on doing things right so hopefully the end product is a lasting one. As for the "Angies deals" that we don't participate in, we quit those special deals because they just caused us too much financial hardship. Most people don't know that on top of cutting those deals to clients,we also have to pay a portion of the sale to Angies for their marketing services. The end result is often a project done at a loss. As a company advertising on Angies, we pay them several thousand dollars just to get seen on their site. Most people don't know that businesses pay Angies direct just to get seen, but we do. That cost is part of our cost of doing business, which allows us to serve the consumer to the best of our abilities. Hi (member name removed), sorry you were displeased with something we did for you. As I read your comments, that you paid $ 75.00 for a service call over four months ago, and waited until just now to complain about it, I have to wonder why you never called us to say you had an issue. Typically, with a homeowner with a 40+ year old shower valve that is leaking, we will always tell that person (in your case-you) that we will make an attempt only to change out the parts and that there is no guarantee that it will solve the problem in your 40 year old valve. Saving a 40 yr old valve is much akin to trying to save an old horse by surgery. No doctor would guarantee complete success. The case is the same when you call a plumber to mess with a 40 yr old valve. I know we told you this and that is likely why you never called us to inform us that your valve is still dripping. I am sorry your expectations were not met. Our goal is to help our clients to the best of our abilities, which we do,but we never guarantee any of your old parts. Sometimes it is best to get a new product rather than to try and keep the old ones alive for another 6 months.
