From beginning there was a communication problem. He often did not reference his latest email correspondence and would get confused on dates and jobs which would lead him to calling and me having to reiterate something verbally. The first problem was when we changed the date to the day before to meet with him and a contractor for some gutter replacement. The next day he sent me an email asking me if we were still meeting, when we'd met the day before. The next time I was away from the site and told him to call me when he was on the way so I could head back, instead he just showed up at the house.I became concerned when he asked me if he could feed our dogs treat and I specifically told him no because they are trained with certain treats, and then a few weeks while working on another job he approached me and said he gave our dogs treats, because he couldn't remember if I said they couldn't have them or not. There was a discrepancy with a quote he gave us and what he actually charged for a bill to paint our house, ($131.00). Upon pointing out where he could have had some confusion he emailed me several very lengthy emails pleading his case, attacking my character, and giving me advice on how I should live my life. During this time I discovered paint on the floor and wall from his crew. He wanted to come fix the error but due to his personal comments and denying that he fed our dogs after telling me he did made us distrusting of his character. In each email (which I still have) he admits to being confused, and saying it was because he had a lot on his plate, and then he also admits that I was right, he was wrong, and that he was embarrassed, then he went into attack mode again. His last email stated that I was a liar who put him down. I addressed our concerns with his communication and nothing more. I don't know of, nor have I ever dealt with a "worker" who tried to become so involved personally. His final email he twisted some things I said and called me a liar. I asked him to cease contacting me but he still emailed me. I normally do not post bad reviews but in this case it is necessary.
Description of Work: I hired this Robert for a few small jobs around the house from installing solar lights, to installing blinds, and painting our walls.
