I called the LG customer service line to see if we could have someone install our washer and dryer when we moved. We were referred to McAlister. LG said that a serviceman would come between 1 and 5 pm but I could call McAlister the next morning to get a shorter window. I called this morning and unfortunately dealt with the LEAST professional person ever. He seemed to have no idea what I was talking about and wanted to put me on hold. After he just set the phone down so I could hear him talking to another person for three minutes, he returned to tell me that he was going to have to call me back. Wonderful. About 20 minutes later, he called back from a blocked number. He told me I would have to pay $135 over the phone now and then they would send someone out later. I told him I didn't feel comfortable paying for a service that wasn't completed and I would pay for it after I was sure it was done to my satisfaction. After putting the phone down for another two minutes to chat with a coworker, he returned to the call. He basically told me that this was policy and they can't send out someone until I pay upfront. Fine, whatever. After giving up my credit card info to him, he said he'd try to get someone to come out tomorrow. I told him I was assured from LG customer service that I could have someone come between 1 and 5 pm today. He asked to put me on hold again. At least this time he actually put me on hold so I couldn't hear the muffled noises in the background. He returned with, "Jessica? You there?" My name is Laura. After correcting him, he said I was in luck. Adam could come out at 12:30 today because he had a cancellation, but he has to contact him to double check. On hold again for a few more minutes. He returns to say, "Yeah, I can't get a hold of him so let's just assume he'll be there at 12:30." I told him I would like a call back for confirmation that he'll be able to come at 12:30 instead of just assuming it. He said he'd call back in 15 minutes so I didn't have to keep waiting on hold. Great. That was about half an hour ago... Hopefully I'll be able to update this with some positive review of the actual serviceman because the guy over the phone was the most incompetent person I've dealt with in a while. UPDATE I got a call back about an hour later from the same man. He said he was still unable to locate his serviceman and we'd have to try again tomorrow. He said he'd have another person come to the house at 4 pm. I was told he wouldn't charge my credit card. Thank goodness! I found another company that seems to be more on top of their game and definitely more professional. Wish me luck!

I apologize that he put you on hold as many times as he did and also apologize for not accomodating your request to pay after the diagnostic services were rendered. Our policy of accepting the diagnostic fee up front was put in place over ten years to ensure that our customers would be home during their appointments. With that said, we pride ourselves on accomodating our customers' requests. Unfortunately, in your instance we were unable to provide you with the service you deserve.
