Showed up for same day service worked late into the night and saved us

They managed to break pieces off several items of antique furniture (mainly legs)and then the driver offered to fix them (probably at an extortionate rate, but never quoted a price). Shane and Will are excellent hard workers. Generally an upsetting move, with insufficient care being taken.

Without a doubt, this is the best experience I have had yet with a moving company. From the guy on the phone to to workers it was all and all the best experience I have had so far!!!

We used them to move to Northern Nevada. Jason was super helpful and really had the guys working efficiently. Mike was our sales guy, and everything was very up front and their were no unpleasant surprises. The only problem we had was our new front door in Carson City was only 36" wide so a lot of furniture had to be carried all the way around the house, but that was not their fault. 5 stars!

The company is full of trust and quality! It was my second experience with a moving company. The very first time with another company was a nightmare - my TV was damaged and it was not covered by insurance. I decided to not just go for the cheapest way after the worst experience ever last time. The second time, I paid attention to every detail, such as going with a full-service company and getting insurance for any kind of damages. The first impression is also important, Michael is the manager who assisted me, was very professional. He immediately answered to any kind of questions I had, and helped me be sure my move will be done excellently. My expectations were fulfilled a 100%. Their contact number has been saved and I will use them again.

They were the best movers I ever hired and I've had good and bad. I will definitely recommend them.

They wrapped every piece of furniture so it took twice as long as expected but nothing was damaged in the move.

I was in a desperate situation due to COVID19 and was in a fix as to how to move my daughter's stuff from the dorm room. With her being in India and me unable to travel to due to my health issues and coronavirus scare it was appearing to be an impossible task. I contacted S & D Moving and Mike was so helpful. He understood my situation and in spite of not having met each other in person and that the work was going to be completed only on faith and belief he agreed to do so. Throughout the process, he and his people were in constant contact and gave me constant updates. There were many obstacles before they were able to complete the job but no one complained even once. I would fully recommend this company to anyone who wants reliable people to do their shifting. Thanks to Mike and his people for everything.

This was the first time I used S and D Moving Services. I moved from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment and had 3 movers take around 4 hours to move the stuff that we already packed ourselves. Out of the 3 movers, 2 were doing some heavy lifting while another guy was primarily just arranging the stuff in the truck. I found that a bit wasting, but nevertheless these other movers did some very hard work in moving our stuff and I was okay to look the other way. I faced main problem with few damages. All in all, movers did a good job in hauling the items up and down the stairs. Update: Management did reach out to me later and helped me with the claim of damages. I can say that I am overall satisfied with this company now. Would certainly use them in future if I move locally!

Company was hired to move three sections of a model train layout, each section 6' by 16'. Move was done with great care and efficiency, with no damage! I highly recommend S & D movers!

Fernando and Jeff were great. They were so fast and professional. They immediately got to work loading the truck and helped disassemble and re-assemble the furniture as well. Nothing was damaged and there were no hidden fees tacked on either. would use again in the future!!

Need to budget for additional expense for supplies the movers will use. For example they will use a lot of tape and the cost of tape billed to you can be several hundred dollars depending on the size of the move.

The team of two did a great job moving from a house to a flat on the third floor. Amazing endurance and we are very happy.

Great work was performed. Movers arrived on time, they were very careful with my stuff and didn't damage anything. Very polite. The price was reasonable for the work that they performed. I will recommend this company to my friends.

My move was last minute decision, I called couple of companies to find help. First of all the costumer service was so professional and polite to all my questions and requests. Second of all they were ready to move me even in a few hours instead others companies. Also, they packed all my heavy stuff to make sure that nothing will not damage. I met them in the morning and they were done in six hours later, (my previous move was about nine hours, it sounds funny but they saved about $300). Highly recommend this guys.
