Doerr Landscape Design

The landscaping plan itself plan was, for the most part, excellent.  I have received a lot of complements for the new landscaping from my neighbors and friends.  However, several areas of the landscaping did not turn out very well due to inappropriate choice of plants (use of bromeliads in areas that receive a lot sun).  Also, there were some things we never settled on regarding plantings around the steps coming up to the property.
The installers did not properly place weed control fabric by the sidewalk or under rock cover in some areas, and I have had lots of problems with weeds due to this.  They left a lot of rock in piles by the front street, which I eventually hired someone else to remove, as I couldn't do it all myself.
Additionally, when Mr. Doerr came over to review the installation, I was not satisfied that he "got" my concerns and I have not continued to use his services to maintain the landscaping.
Overall, I spent a lot of money, but I'm not entirely satisfied. 

His name was Matthew Doerr. He is a designer and does landscape design. We only had a limited amount of time and budget. If he had done the work on the computer it would have been more expensive. We actually did the work ourselves. It was overall a good experience. He is very knowledgeable. His website gives his background and experience. We saw a neighbor's yard that he did. He has been doing it for a long time. He would come when we needed him and we didn't have to wait. He came the same day. He is reliable and honest. He has a good eye. The price was good for what he did and he spent extra time. We got more than we paid for. He hung in there and didn't give up on us. He gave us his time and knowledge.
