I called a different shop that advertised themselves as "cheap". He left telling me that it needed a complete compressor unit and estimated $2,250. to replace it. I called Central for a second opinion. I called after hours and they asked me if I would like them to come out immediately or if I would rather wait until the next day. The next morning they called as soon as they opened and set an appointment to come out later that day. Doug came out, checked the unit out and said that the compressor checked out fine. He replaced the capacitor and tightened a wire on the circuit breaker and the unit works fine. This is the 2nd time that Doug has saved our bacon by fixing rather than repairing. We will use Doug and Central Heating and Air exclusively in the future. Their initial price to come out is about $25. higher, but they are definitely worth that and more.
