"Chip repairs are structual repairs. To prevent winshield from further damage. Chips repairs on winshield or windscreens will never appear new. The brute force that cause the chips in the first place leave inperfections on glass. The glass is a whole piece, what we do is inject resin and make a vacum seal on first layer of laminated glass without stressing the crack more. Finally, for any chip repair glassdoctor does , we have a policy to credit full retail chip repair for new windshield, if customers ever decided to change winshields. Before any chip repair we do have disclousures that mention the possibility of the crack on winshield spreading while doing repair. 100% chip repairs in our location have never had any breakage after completion, and less than 1% further damage during repair process. Some repairs look better than others, some appear gone, while others with surface chip appear the same."
"First off, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience. The Customer did call us and we had told her that the glass had broken when being loaded on our manufactures truck. The lead time for that particular type of glass was 3 - 4 days. We were very apologetic about the delay and offered the Customer a discount on top of the original discount she had got. We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers at any expense and when the Customer had called in she agreed to the discount and understood our situation regarding the broken glass. She even stated "it’s okay, things happen". We hope that the Customer will continue to use Glass Doctor."
