PRO TREAD SERVICES

I called and left a message. I received a timely return call. An appointment was set up. Technician came at the time he promised and resolved the issue easily.

AWFUL!!!!! DO NOT hire this person... If I could give an F-, I would. We had actually used him before a few years prior. He was very nonchalant then, but eventually the work got done and the treadmill fixed. This time it was a whole different experience. It took three days, and four separate phone messages for him to even return a call about coming out to determine the problem. He eventually came out a few days later, looked at the machine, said he needed to "get a quote on a part" and that he would email me the estimate. He NEVER sent the estimate, did not return a single message (out of about a dozen left) over a week long period, before I finally gave up. I NEVER heard from him again, NEVER got a quote, and am out the $95 for the service call that, ultimately, told me nothing. I read the other reviews giving him a "F" and thought "oh, he can't be that bad..." He is. And worse. Don't do it. AWFUL.

provider stated that my mother board was out and needed to be replaced.  Replacement price $500.00.    Did not get the repair, bought a new treadmill for $599.00

Mike was fantastic, very professional. He made an appointment to come by very quick after my first reaching out to him. He was quite patient and understanding when it was I who ended up 10 minutes late for the appointment. It took him a short amount of time to figure out what was causing the noise and to fix it. The cost to come out, diagnose things, then tighten up a couple of loose fittings was not unreasonable, but not low. He had an opportunity to make more money when I suggested I order a part for the future and told me it was unnecessary. It speaks volumes about the character of a business person when the high road is taken, not my money. Great work!

Mike was on time, professional, and knew his stuff. Plus a good guy. Easy to work with, and did all he could with the machine, and explained that we would need to change a belt to completely fix the problem (which was noise as the elliptical ran).

I've used ProTread two years in a row to service our treadmill. Both times he was on time, courteous, and easy to talk to. We're pleased with his work and will use him next year.

They gave me a window between 9:00 and 10:00 AM and arrived at 9:45. He quickly diagnosed the problem that a motor brush had come loose and was able to reinsert it plus add some electrical tape over it to keep it from coming out again. While he was there, he adjusted the belts and basically inspected the treadmill for any other issues. The visit lasted a half hour at no addtional cost above the service fee of $95. The treadmill has been working fine since. I would definately recommend Pro-Tread to anyone that needed fitness equipment repair.

He payed attention to everything that I told him, which was very important. The most common problem with the treadmill is to make sure that it stays lubricated that was the first thing he tried. After further testing, he realized it was the motor. Since the treadmill was over 10 years old and since the motor on this specific treadmill is very expensive, his advise was if the repair is more than 50% of what we payed for the treadmill then it is probably best to replace the treadmill. I agreed with his advise and I really appreciated his honesty.

Repairman arrived in a timely manner as scheduled and repaired my treadmill. In addition I received advise on future part replacements.

I found Pro Tread on Angie's List after many frustrating phone calls to the store where I bought my home universal gym. Pro Tread asked for the model number, gave me an estimate of $95 to install a new cable which I had received from the manufacturer and showed up three days later as promised and did a great job for a great price.

It went great! The machine originally broke a year and a half ago. The replacement part I ordered was broken during installation by a repairman from another company. Their manager told me at the time that I would need to purchase another new part before they could install it, and would then have to pay for another visit on top of that. I couldn't bear to call (or pay) them again, but didn't know what else to do as NordicTrak only referred to the company that had broken my machine. Finally, I had to decide whether to get it fixed or get rid of it once and for all, so I searched Google and found Pro Tread. Mike from Protread came out and repaired the part the other guy had broken by using a special tool and getting the broken screw out (I didn't need to buy another new one after all), and finished installing the pulley. He also tuned up the unit. It's never run so well! He charged me a flat service call (no hourly rate), and was in and out very quickly. I will call him again if I ever need anything else done to this machine.
