Zero Stars would suffice. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! We write with regret and dissatisfaction regarding your recent services. We contracted with COIT on 20 JAN with ***, the technician who came to our home to inspect and give us a quote for attic maintenance. The initial quote for the project was $2000. This project was set to include removal of all evidence of rodents (excrement and carcasses), lifting up of all existing insulation to thoroughly vacuum the attic floor of all attic and roof debris, and re-laying of the insulation back into proper place. The contract also included re-securing current air ducts at places that appeared to be loosened and cleaning the air ducts thoroughly. Technician *** requested two checks at the time of signing the contract - one written to COIT as a down payment for $250 and one to *** personally, for "supplies" for $200. Unfortunately, services were executed in a disorganized, unprofessional, utterly incomplete fashion. To start with our experience of the workflow, the team arrived 2 hours later than the agreed time slot and without essential supplies. We, as the homeowner's, were asked to provide both a ladder and a flashlight for them to complete their services. The two man crew began work and then, within 30 minutes, stated they had to step away to pick up another crew member and would return within the hour. Three hours later, the crew had not returned and I contacted *** (as this was the only phone number I had) to request an estimated time of return. He informed me that he was not coming back to the project and that two other members would return shortly. When the other two employees returned, they seemed unaware of the task at hand. I explained to them the project to be completed as described above. At this point in the day, it was approximately 1630. We were concerned that both employees appeared to require confirmation with each other before engaging in any step of the project. This resulted in a prolonged workday up until approximately 2130 that evening. Frankly, this is unprofessional and inappropriately late work hours for a noisy task. The next day, the team was scheduled to complete the air duct cleaning and secure loose air ducts but did not show for a set appointment. We called and spoke with management regarding this issue and rearranged our tight work schedules to accommodate the team on another day. On that newly scheduled day, the team arrived later than expected around 1700 with a manager and, once again, did not complete the task of cleaning the air ducts until around 2130. We appreciated that the manager came to help resolve the issue and supervise the end of the project however are now dissatisfied that the project was not completed as discussed. We recently had a different company evaluate our home for placing new insulation in the attic space. During their inspection, they were able to take photos of the attic space which demonstrated a large continued burden of debris, including particles from prior roof construction, rodent excrement and a rodent carcass whose degree of decay suggests presence prior to COIT's work. Additionally, the photos suggested that the re-laying of the insulation to appropriate places was not completed. Furthermore, the previously "secured" air ducts were dislodged and actively venting into the attic space. Technicians from the new team described that the prior securing of the air duct was completed with a single strip of duct tape which they would not have anticipated to hold tight. The new team inspected the air ducts and noted that they were in poor condition and should not have been cleaned previously due to the concern of rust and debris being further lodged into the air circulation. We were given a $150 refund for the inconvenience in project issues initially but did not know the neglect of the project details. We have since completed repeat cleaning, decontamination, replacement of air ducts and re-laying of fresh insulation with the new company costing a large additional sum. We are extremely dissatisfied with the COIT service that we paid for as the contract was not fulfilled as agreed upon. We contacted the Better Business Bureau to formally file a complaint regarding the abysmal service we received with COIT however COIT refused to respond to the complaint. We are willing to provide photo evidence of the incomplete and poor quality service. We want to ensure that this treatment does not occur to other customers. Given this incomplete work, unprofessional job timeline, and wasted client time, we feel as though refund for the services is warranted.

BEWARE!!!! Do not use COIT. The owner of San Diego and Orange County COIT Cleaning Services, Steve Moran, is an unethical lying hypocrite who takes advantage of people and uses them for his own financial gain. Not only does his business provide POOR service and bad workmanship (Rated F by the BBB), he also steals money from families livelihoods and doesn't show any remorse about it! Unfortunately I was a victim of COIT and was taken advantage of, so I am here to warn others.....DO NOT BECOME THE NEXT TARGET! This franchise of COIT is unprofessional and needs to be exposed for who they really are so they do not continue to hurt the livelihoods of others.

Beware! Coit came out to do carpet and tile cleaning. In the process of cleaning the tile in my kitchen, they splashed chemicals on my stainless steel refrigerator. It stained/corroded the entire bottom half of my refrigerator doors. It took weeks and lots of calls to get them to come out and try to fix it and when they did come out, they made it worse by trying to buff it out with a machine. I have spent 6 months reaching out to Ricky and Darnell with either no response or promises of repairs. It is very disappointing. SEE YELP reviews. Sadly, I should have read yelp reviews as this is not the first time they ruined stainless steel appliances during tile cleaning and have a lot of 1 star reviews. Filed a complaint with BBB, hopefully they can help get my refrigerator repaired.

We had COIT clean our couch and carpets. Absolutely horrific job! I would NEVER recommend COIT to anyone! Even after they completely ruined our couch, (leaving it with gray blotching and yellowing all over it), to where our couch had to be reupholstered, the owner refused to reimburse us for the costs nor did he even file a insurance claim. The owner avoided and refused to take and all calls from us and ran from any responsibility. I would never ever recommend any COIT franchise at this point, especially the ones run by this owner.

It went well. I was given an estimate that included the advertised discount. The rugs were washed and returned in excellent condition one week later. My experience with Coit goes back to the 50s in San Francisco when the company was in its early phase. My mother always used them for carpet and drapery cleaning. I also find them an excellent reference for "rug matters." When I needed to have the fringe replaced on the two runners, which were purchased in Egypt, Coit sent them directly to the company after cleaning and when the fringe was replaced, delivered them to me directly. I highly recommend Coit.

I use COIT for carpet cleaning.  I know they're gonna pick the stuff up on time and do a decent job.  It's easy to call them and have them come out.  They call me all the time and ask me if I want something and usually I forget that I need something done, so I just tell them and they come.  So it's usually not too much effort on my part. I don't have to think about it.

I used Coit and I was not very happy with them. It has probably been three or four months ago when I used them. There was just one guy who came out and he tried to sell me a lot of stuff and then when he finished the mess, I noticed the couple of things that he did not even move to do the carpet underneath, like the movable TV stand which is really easy to move. I do not remember the cost of the service.

I needed same-day service and they were very prompt about getting a technician to my location. However, then the sales pitch began. I only have the one carpet, so I had to pay a minimum service charge even though he would have cleaned 2 others for the same price. The area rugs had to go out to the plant for cleaning, but I expected that. The technician informed me that the reason my carpet was so dirty was my dirty air ducts. That would run around $900!
I opted for just the cleaning plus deodorizer, but I declined the additional spray guard because I was afraid of those chemicals. I think duct cleaning is probably bogus, especially since the system has not been on since December. The tech assumed my air was on because the house was so cool. We I told him the air had not blown through in months, he back-off the lecture on dirty ducts.

The representative arrive on time, well within the 2 hour window that we were given. He was courteous, professional and worked very hard completing the cleaning. My place is some way from the road, and he worked with me to get access and clean using the apparatus in his vehicle - something that other cleaners have flatly refused to do! There were no heating fans available to dry the carpets, and as a result it took almost 2 days before they were dry; they were however very clean.

Coit gives you a two hour window and the technician showed up with 10min to spare. He did the tile first and overall it looks cleaner but not that impressive. I don't think I will use this service again. It is definitely something I could do myself. Then he moved on to the upstairs, ending with the stairs on the way back down. The carpet is taking awhile to dry but I have to say I am VERY impressed with the carpets. There were several areas with pet stains I hadn't even able to get up with our SpotBot, and they are gone. The carpet looks like new. I would definitely do the carpet service again. I also had an area rug cleaned. It was supposed to be delivered today but for some reason (manager couldn't explain why to me) it was still drying and will be coming tomorrow. Will have to submit another report based on how that turns out. So far though, I have had Coit do air ducts, dryer vent, carpet, and tile, and the only thing that was worth it was the carpet. That is the only service I would bring them back for.

Technician arrived about a half hour late but did call right away to let me know he had a late start. Very professional and friendly, when he arrived we went through the house to look at all the vents and intake. He got to work quickly. I had never had my dryer vent cleaned before so I had signed up for that, but when he came he showed me that our dryer vent was only about one foot long, so he advised me that he cleaned it this time, but that we really would not need that service in the future. (Still had to charge me since I signed up for it. Now I know better and will save the $75 from now on). He also adjusted the direction of flow in a couple of vents to optimize flow. At the end he showed me the amount of debris that had built up in the vents. It wasn't too bad but our house is small and we are good about changing our filter. He advised once every 5 years for us. Overall very pleased with his honesty and professionalism and the quality of work done.

I had Coit remove my valances in the living room to be taken out and cleaned. The salesman who picked them up told me when they would be returned and re-installed. That day came and went. The return of my valances was delayed and rescheduled 6 times. That means I was given a 2 hour time frame 6 different times for a total of 12 hours of my time being wasted waiting. I found this level of customer service to be unacceptable. The only good thing was that they did have someone calling me each time, at the end of the 2 hour window, to let me know the installation was not going to happen as promised. They also took $35 off my final bill. I guess my time was worth only about $3 per hour to them. They clearly over-promise and under-deliver on their customer service. I will not be using Coit Services again

They were okay. I don't recall how much I spent on their services. They did a good job and that's about it. Nothing stands out as being negative. They are very expensive. They did a good job. They responded to me. I don't remember about their punctuality. I think they were punctual because if they were late I would have remembered. I will use them again in the future.
