AAA Smog Center

I called AAA Smog Center to find out if I needed to make an appointment the afternoon I wanted to get my vehicle smogged.
It was about 2pm in the afternoon.  The person who answered my call said I didn't not need an appointment that they could take me as soon as I arrived.  I drove to the smog center and they took my car in as soon as I arrived.  It took only about ten minutes for the smog check.  They were very polite, efficient and did a great job.

I went to AAA smog after reading the great reviews on here. I needed a smog to complete my registration. I arrived around 1015 am and the service was performed immediately The waiting room was comfortable and the owner and the lady at the desk (wife?) could not have been more accommodating...very friendly. I did not wait more than 10 minutes before my test was complete.

The owner came to me with the bad news, my car did not pass inspection. It seems my oxygen sensor never re-set after some repairs I did months ago. Just my luck! I had a 1210 appointment at the DMV that I was sure to miss now. I started to ask the owner for a recommendation for repairs when he suggested I try to re-set the device myself and proceeded to write down instructions on what I should do. I had nothing to lose so I decided to give it a shot. He suggested I come right back and he will check it again.

I'm glad I took his advice..it worked! My sensor was working normally and passed the re-test. It cost an additional $21.75 for the re-test, but it was well worth it. Another shop would have surely replaced my sensor to the tune of at least $150-200. The owner's genuine concern for my time and money allowed me not only to save a large fee on unnecessary repairs, but I was also able to make my DMV appointment no problem. Eliminating the need to take even more time off work to get it done.

This kind of customer service is rare and very much appreciated. I will use AAA from now on and will advise everyone I know to do the same. AAA smog has a customer for life!

I needed a smog check for DMV registration. I found his reviews on Angie's List. I called in the afternoon to see if I needed an appointment. He said if I can get in that afternoon, he could do it right then. So I zipped up, and he took care of me right away. Very nice, very professional. I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes.

I arrived about 10 minutes after they opened, got my smog check in 1/2 hour, and left. The waiting room is very nice, and so was the coffee.

They were quick and friendly with a total time of 30 minutes. Annie greeted me well and provided a nice environment while I waited. My car is a 1995 so the price is higher with $70, plus certificate fee of $8 and a $3 transaction fee to the DMV via bar code scan. I brought in a $15 off coupon from the Penny Saver making the total $56. They mentioned that they'll even stay open late for last minute callers.

I arrived after bypassing the place I was originally going to because it already had several vehicles waiting. On entering the business, the lady behind the counter had me provide my name and address info on the work request and accepted the coupon I had printed from the business's web site. They were just finishing up on a car, and she told me about ten minutes to get started on my truck.
A mechanic drove my truck around from the front of the business to the rear and started the smog check. All the work was done within about fifteen minutes. The truck passed, I paid with a credit card and received my smog paperwork. They also transmitted the info to the DMV.
The waiting room had a TV and the MOST comfortable chairs of any waiting room I have ever experienced. The work was completed quickly with no hassles. I would use this business again.
