The experience started out fairly well.  He was prompt and said he had experience with the tile I choose.  The kitchen should have been done in 3 days.  However after several weeks and many delays, we ended up with no floor.  He left with some of the tiles not sticking and some out completely waiting to be relayed, saying he did not know why the floor tiles were not staying in place and he could not finish our job. We had to do a complete tear out of his work and hire another installer.  The second time with another contractor went very well.
The whole thing was frustrating and I found him to be evasive and disorganized.  He is a nice person, but I would never hire him for tile work again given the outcome of this experience with him.

It went very well. I was very pleased with them. I took out a lot of different options and I found the best pricing and they did a good job. I didn't purchase my flooring from them. I had my floor material and they just did the installation. They removed the old previous floor.

We recently moved to the area and had hired a and quot;handymanand quot; on someone's recommendation to do some home improvement projects that included installing wood laminate floors in our new home. Unfortunately, the quality of work was not even close to being acceptable and we stopped the job. In trying to figure out what to do to fix the mess, I went to Angie's List which should have been my first place to have looked.

I spoke with Troy who came out to take a look at the situation. He explained what he would need to do: take up the already-installed flooring and baseboard, patch and level sub-floor and then reinstall as much of the existing laminate and baseboards that could be reused as well as additional flooring that we purchased. He gave us an estimate for the amount of time and cost. We scheduled with him to start the following week.
Troy was on time every day and the project was completed within both the timeframe and estimated cost. The floors look great. I will keep this short by saying that Troy did a fantastic job, is a true professional and also a really nice guy! We can't thank him enough for taking on this project and turning it into the finished floor we had wanted from the beginning. I would highly recommend Troy and will definitely use him for any flooring needs we have in the future.

Troy did a great job - quality work - left the newly tiled bathroom looking like a new home.

Troy was easy to work with, had a great price (beat the next best quote by over $1000), and did a good job. Some of the minor details like the placing of molding wasn't perfect, but it was easy enough to fix ourselves, and for the price, I'm quite satisfied.

He is extremely reasonable with his rates, $30/hour. He does good work.

We had just bought a home in the hills above Santa Rosa. When we tried to install our washer and dryer, there was a metal pan that was too small. We had to remove the pan. Under the pan, the floor was destroyed from cat urine and it smelled. We called someone to have the area repaired as we couldn't afford to do the entire room at this time, maybe in 6 months. The first guy wanted $450 for a 4x6 area and he canceled.changed our appointment 3 times. So then I called Troy at TDH Floor Coverings, and I am glad I did. He picked up the flooring and metal strips, he threw in backing at no charge and he came on Monday when I called him on Friday prior. He was prompt and tidy and went right to work. He only charged us $175, including the flooring and materials.
