call to see if I was available to show the place to potential tenants even
though that was the reason why we hired him. Gave numerous excuses but however
finally rented to the unit. Once the contract was drawn up I noticed there were
a few discrepancies between the amounts we were given through the renters and
the fee Westside was charging us. However after contacting him he resolved it
but it took additional time for the correct funds (in our favor) to be
deposited into our account.
He is very SLOW to answer questions or concerns via, email
and text and sometimes even phone. Calling 2-3 times a week until he is able to
return the calls. Our unit is in excellent condition and there is no real need
to have any ?handyman? work done. However our tenants have brought a few issues
to Westside Property Management and with no response they contacted us and we
were able to resolve the issues immediately.
The tenants pay online and at first it was nice at the beginning.
Originally it would take 10 days for the tenants? funds to clear before being
deposited into our account. Then it took 14 days, then 21 days, etc. After
calling several times about it, Josh finally returned my call and explained
that some tenants funds were not clearing in that original time frame. So it
seems that all rent from all the properties they manage go into a single
account and as certain funds become available they start paying the owners even
though your own tenants funds may have cleared it gets paid to the out to the
owner at the top of the list.
I spoke to my tenants telling them I would need them to
resign a contract dealing exclusively with us instead of Westside Property
Management and they were relieved. They claimed they have had problems paying
online from the beginning and had to drive to their office (35+ minutes away)
to pay for the first 3 months. That sometimes their hours of operation to pay,
nobody was available or present to take their payment. Also they claimed not
having record of a payment even though he had proof through his bank. They
finally were able to clear up that issue.
Just a note, we LOVE our tenants and are happy with them.
However this company does not display the type of professionalism on many
levels that a company should.
