custom cabinets
 + -1 moreAt move-in, work was incomplete and cabinets weren't operating properly. We had to constantly call him to reluctantly finish his work. From first encounter, he was unprofessional (losing our contact information, mixing up names, not returning calls as promised, breaking appointments, making numerous excuses, being completely inflexible to our schedule yet requiring us to cater to his). He also lied to us on price for the job, contradicted himself constantly, quoted arbirary prices on the spot (that did not even match his written bill). After multiple attempts to contact him and one no show, he finally delivered the order with a bill TEN TIMES the quote he gave us. When confronted with the bill and the estimate he provided prior, he once again contradicted himself, became even more hostile and frightening, storming out the door. He contacted the general contractor and made up stories about what was said and done to defend his position.
Description of Work: Hired by General Contractor to make custom cabinetry throughout our new home, some were not in working order. Replaced faulty drawer slide, cut 4-2' straight melamine shelves, a small cherry shelf and 1-3' shelf. We also inquired about an estimate for another project. He produced a drawing and cost estimate that he later said included the cost of the work (shelves) we had already agreed to. The cabinets all have areas where no laquer was applied and the nails holes are still showing. The very same shelves could have been cut at Home Depot for a fraction of the cost.
