I waited a long while to review my service experience with Duncan Plumbing. They were polite on the phone. The service person was schedule quickly. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained everything as he worked. So far, the final solution is still working well. I am very happy with the out come.

Great service!!! Felt safe!!! So extremely pleased with the expediency of service by Jorge at Duncan Plumbing Santa Cruz. He arrived on time (actually early after getting a call to see if that was ok) for pricing consult/quote of a non-emergent water heater exchange, along with new connections, etc. While the price quote was not the cheapest compared to the others I'd already gotten, it was more inclusive of all the necessary work & needs. Jorge knew all the current rules/regulation entailed. He was also available to do the full project right away. I felt safe in his knowledge, capabilities, & space. So yay. Project done & no potential future worries about my water heater. So, grand thanks to Jorge. Also, must say that all prior phone/online contacts were very pleasant setting up my appointment. Duncan Plumbing has a wonderful team & they clearly care for their customers & about customer service. They even called me the day after just to check & make sure all was ok. They now have a customer for life & I'll be recommending them to my neighbors & friends. THANKS !!!

Exceptional Customer Service -- Service professionals were on site same day within an hour of my call and were able to replace source of the leak (a wire hose) on the spot.

The agent called 30 minutes before the end of a 3 hour waiting period and said they would be unable to come. I can imagine that a job may take much longer than anticipated and they may be short of people. But if they can't reschedule for the beginning of the next working day, then they don't get my business. That's a fair bargain. I don't care how competent the service person is

Jorge O came out and replaced a broken faucet that was leaking badly, and also checked the regulator by the faucet to make sure the pressure was in the safe range for my home as well as the shut off valve. He also cleared valves for my water system outdoors. At the end, he explained all the valves to me, and I am delighted to have a ship shape system that I understand well now. Duncan Plumbing has been my go to plumbing service for years, and this was just one more excellent experience with them. Prompt service, good value for price, and skilled plumbers who are great to work with. I highly recommend Duncan Plumbing and Jorge O in particular!

Once I bought a new kitchen faucet from Bay Plumbing, I scheduled a visit from Duncan Plumbing to install it. Duncan sent out one of their really experienced plumbers. After spending some time trying to fit the faucet in place Nui realized a miss-intalled part was causing the problem. He called Bay Plumbing and together they figured out the issue. I took the faucet back to Bay Plumbing. An employee had the exact piece needed. He exchanged it. Nui installed it. No problem. Just think if i had bought that faucet on Amazon and had my accountant brother-in-law attempt to install it. Not a pretty picture. Duncan always, always sends out the best and most experienced plumbers. They are personable AND neat and tidy. What more can I say?! Thank you, Duncan Plumbing.

I was worried that we'd have to flush out our sewer line. Nui, who had cleverly fixed a leak for us on an earlier occasion, came promptly. He watched the toilet flush a few times. "The toilet's gone bad," he said. I thought toilets were forever, something like an altar. I thought they could never 'go bad.' But Nui explained that with our hard water, deposits can build up and prevent the water from flowing. He poured a bucket of water into the toilet and it emptied immediately, thus proving his point. I could have him replace the toilet or do it myself, but I'm grateful to have had Nui's common sense to guide me.

Nui and crew did a phenomenal job. I felt like family and the job done was impeccable.

Overall, poorly. Came out twice in 45 days for slow drain. 1st trip was $375 and plumber cleaned bathroom sink line to main drain. Told all clear and drain worked for 45 days. Drain clogged again, further down the line with waste water backup into showers. Same tech came out for 2nd issue. Said it was too dangerous to snake the main line from the roof vent. Quoted $2800.00 to install a new clean out at front of the house. Said this was the only way he could clear the line. TOTALLY FALSE. Had them leave after being charged $160 for the visit and attempted robbery. 2nd plumber responded immediately, ran a snake thru entire house and out to the street. Cleared the clog in under an hour and charged $275. I would not recommend Duncan Plumbing and feel their bait and switch tactics are almost criminal.

To Whom It May Concern, I had massive drain clogs (of extremely stubborn grease) in my plumbing pipes, leading to my septic tank. I had standing water (and human waste) in all of my toilets, and neither my showers nor my sinks would drain properly. So, I called an experienced local plumber (with great online reviews) to help me deal with the situation. However, this (first) plumber was not up to the challenge. (He was unable to resolve the situation, and he misdiagnosed the problem.) Then, I called Duncan Plumbing. Enrique, at Duncan Plumbing, came to my home the very same day that I called to schedule an appointment. In fact, he was at my home (in Bonny Doon) within two hours of my call. It was pouring rain (and hailing) outside, with frigid temperatures. Nevertheless, Enrique got to work right away. He examined the layout of the plumbing pipes in the crawl-space under my home. He removed the covers off of my septic tank risers and examined the capacity, flow-rate and layout of my septic tank. He also evaluated other critical elements, related to my plumbing problems. Then, he provided me with a fair price quote to resolve the situation -- with a number of different options (based on alternative approaches). Enrique worked from 1:30pm to 6:30pm, non-stop -- and, during this process, Enrique demonstrated himself to be highly experienced, and an expert problem-solver (quickly and easily dealing with new issues and challenges as they came along). Although it was an incredibly challenging job, Enrique completed all of the work in one day -- removing all of the clogs in my pipes -- fully restoring my plumbing to perfect working condition. Enrique was kind, courteous and professional -- and he cleaned-up all of the mess that was made during the process or clearing the pipes, and getting my bathrooms back into working order. If and when I experience plumbing problems in the future, my first call will always be to Enrique at Duncan Plumbing. And for those who find themselves in need of a plumber (in the Santa Cruz area), I strongly recommend that you call Duncan Plumbing, and request the help of Enrique.

Technician came to home (very prompt/polite). Evaluated problem with the unit and advised better to replace the water heater rather than repair a worn-out part - heater too old. After receiving quote, decided to purchase & install through another source as I felt price was too high for a water heater.

One of the solar water panels needs to be replaced due to condensation. We submitted pictures in 2017 ,and are awaiting the panel to be replaced. There were several places that was repaired including the sprinkler line. The new toilet was installed. Finding a leak that was causing the pipe hammering is very very difficult. The water leaking was checked at the meter box to insure that leaks were repaired. There is one sprinkler station that causes a low hammering, and very low pressure for a few seconds that will need to be checked the next time Duncan comes out for service. Otherwise the loud hammering at all hours, and all over the house has almost come to an end. The installation of the toilet had a leak in the hose that needed plummer's tape( I discovered the leak at 3 pm). I was unable to stop the leak by tightening the washer, and the office staff said I needed to wait until the next day before Duncan could come out since the plummer would have to drive over the hill. 3 days later we fixed the toilet leak ourselves, and discovered it needed plummer's tape, as well as proper tighting.

Replaced the solar water air eliminator, replaced 2 more leaks, drain and flushed the glycol system. The air eliminator is in a insulator casing, and therefore it is hard to pin point that this part was leaking. It was when the part started leaking out black liquid, that we discovered that this part had been leaking white liquid for some time. I like to keep the paper work for all parts, so that I can look up the trouble shooting part. I forgot to ask for the paperwork on the unit, and I am still awaiting for the front office to send either the paperwork for the unit or the web address.

Jorge is very friendly, and also very efficient; he knew what he was doing, and It didn't take him too long. He did a great job and now I have hot water again.

We have a steep drop down to a creek behind our house. We need the runoff water from gutters and drains carried down through flexible PVC to avoid erosion. We found in October 2015 that a number of pipes were disconnected and if there was rain would leave us exposed to severe erosion. We were about to leave for three weeks, and while there had been a drought, a lot of rain was expected. So we hired Duncan Plumbing because they said they could do it before we left, even though their bid seemed very high.

Went very well, very professional, a little pricey however, but they did a great job.

First the good... the disposal was beautifully installed with care.  The installer took great care in cleaning up after himself.  All in 45 minutes.
The repair person showed up on time, looked under the sink, then went out to his truck to write up an estimate for the work
Now the not so good...
The repair person returned with a written estimate for over $400 with an Angie's List "discount" reducing the price to $358.  He then tried to sell me his own brand new garbage disposal, so I would need to return my new one.  For 45 minutes of work and a materials upsell, I was appalled.  
I called the office to complain, and they told the repairman to go outside so they could talk to him.  About 10 minutes passed, and another person (man) called me from the office to justify charging $400/ hour to install a new garbage disposal.  He had the audacity to tell me there are "no more $60/ hour plumbers".  After I refused to budge and was ready to send the repairman on his way, he offered to cut the price in half so the unit was installed for $179.
I felt for the repairman... he was just doing his job.  But the policies he had to work with are not consumer friendly.
If you are a plumbing customer who just wants things fixed regardless of cost, this company does very good work.  Just be ready to pay.
If you are a savvy customer who just needs them to perform a simple installation, you are better off to look elsewhere.

Great. Enrique showed up on time and was professional. He resolved our problem and was very patient when explaining what he was doing and the corrective actions we needed to take to prevent future problems. Customer service was excellent. The office called to notify me of a small delay. The also called when the job was completed to make sure we were satisfied. I can't say that they were reasonably priced because I have no previous experience with storm drains. We moved to this property a year ago. I would call them again. Very happy with their performance and customer service
