My job consisted of adding a switch and running new wires about 5-6 ft to add a new light in a closet, as well as patching up the drywall that needed to be cut. George arrived at 9:00 and completed the job at 1:00pm (he took a 30 minute lunch). I also asked him to fix a Z-wave 3 way switch, but George briefly took a look and told me that these new radio-frequency switches are not his specialty. Total bill for materials and labor ran $357.
I think for electrical work (or any job in general) it is wiser to negotiate a price per job rather than price per hour.

Therefore I called George The Electrician (he worked on our house and our son's house before and I knew that he was the only one we could trust with electrical issues, even though he said he normally does not work on pool equipment. But with his expertise and workmanship combined with the old fashion Customer Service he can handle any electrical problem).
As usual George was prompt and had to figure out what went wrong - that by itself was a "brain-scratcher" due to the complexity of our system.
George's persistence to get to the bottom of the matter was remarkable. He found all the mistakes the pool-electrician made and why things happened the way they did. George methodically fixed all the problems, then put all the wires neatly and properly back into the tight wire-box, secured the air-switches etc. Before leaving he made sure that everything worked as it should. Now even things that did not work and we assumed were broken are working in harmony again.
If it wasn't for George, we foolishly would have made the mistake again to hire that pool company and would have needlessly also replaced a 4 jet spa booster- pump and air-switches...

This man is a gem! We have some rental property about an hour down south and had a call from a tenant that her power went out, during a rainstorm at that! Under the circumstances, we were responsible for putting her up in a hotel if we couldn't get it fixed quickly. Mr McCutcheon ( aka The Electrician) came out almost immediately, despite the weather, and restored her power within just a few hours, working in the rain. He called us promptly to let us know the job was done. Happy tenant, very happy landlord!!
As we are 50 miles north of the property we rarely have the opportunity to check the adequacy of repairs. We can't even check whether they are necessary or not. So, we need workmen who are competent, honest, fairly priced, and who get back to us in good time to let us know what they found and what they did.. Mr McCutcheon fits all these categories and happens also to be an extremely personable and nice man. We recommend him without reservations to any and all.

Scheduling went without a hitch. George called the day before to confirm the appointment and he arrived 15 minutes early on the day of the appointment. We went over what I needed done and he quoted me a price of $300 for 3 hours work to remove old wiring, install some conduit, an outlet and new wiring. About 2 1/2 hours later he finished and walked me thru what he had done. A perfect hassle free job. I would definitely hire him again!
