Description of Work: We used them to do some work in our rental unit, They cleaned tile and grout in the bathroom as well as approximately 300sf of tile flooring. The vacating tenants had been in the unit for seven years and while they were good tenants, tile grout in all areas was in serious need of cleaning. Groutsmith did a really nice job for us - almost looked like brand new! They also repaired some cracked tiles. The day they worked on the unit was an incredibly warm and humid day - the unit has no air conditioning and despite that, I was very impressed that they didn't rush through the job or cut corners or complain. The work took much longer than they expected but Groutsmith held to their cost estimate. The owner was exceptionally responsive...in responding to our initial call, scheduling the work and up through completion. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

Description of Work: Fixed my DIY mistake on an attempt to re-grout the tile floor of my shower, they had to remove some of my mess, cleaned, refurbished and sealed the shower floor, filled in where needed on the tile walls, added caulking to all places in and around shower and bathroom floor and sink. Leanno is an exceptional person. He was right on time to the start we agreed and he and Brent were great, with excellent attention to detail. They were very considerate to make the customer happy. The owner, Jan, is also a pleasure to work with, she manages a well run operation.

 + -1 moreI made the call and left a message for Jan. Call was returned within 1 day. We set up a time for her to come out and look at both baths. She gave me a quote and we set up date the following week for work to be performed. Both baths look great and I feel that I got more than I paid for. Also referred her to my realtor.
Description of Work: The shower in master bath was cleaned of soap scum. Cracks in the grout were repaired. Silicone seal was replaced and the the shower pan was re-caulked. Also cracks in grout around tub was repaired. In secondary bath, cracks in grout for tile floor were repaired.

 + -1 moreWe needed a quick repair on some crumbling grout in our townhome bathroom and kitchen and a cracked tile filled in because our in-laws were coming to visit. Yikes!!! The tile floors had been laid about a year and a half prior by another contractor and something wasn't right with the grout. Jan and Liano from "The Groutsmith" fit us in within a day and came by to see what they could do. They were heaven sent! They went to work right then (after getting my okay) and removed the crumbling grout, filled and color matched the grout and sealed the cracks in the tile so they just looked like veins in the pattern. Fantastic work and customer service. It's so refreshing to find craftspeople that care about their work and their customers. Liano returned a week later to clean and seal the tile in our whole kitchen, bathroom and fireplace surround because we liked the work that had been done on the emergency repair. Liano also resealed our kitchen sink which had been leaking. My husband had wanted to do some of this work himself over time but he was so happy when he saw the finished work...he was glad that we found "The Groutsmith". Charge is based on visual estimate as to what condition grout is in or what repairs are needed and type of product to be used. Jan consulted with her grout specialist regarding our crumbling grout to come up with an option for the repair and it is holding strong. Money well spent.
Description of Work: First visit: removed and replaced crumbling grout with flexible grout product plus matched color to existing grout; filled thin line cracks along grout and filled thin cracks in tile. Second visit: cleaned and sealed grout in kitchen, bath and fireplace surround; removed old caulking between sink and granite counter top and replaced with new caulk.

 + -1 moreJan and two workers arrived on time to begin the job. Everyone was professional, courteous, friendly and did a wonderful job. Even came back for a few touch-up spots on grout. Very pleased with the results and would highly recommend.
