We manage community associations in all of San Diego and Orange County. Allure Total Management property management company would be more aptly named Allure Totalitarian Mismanagement. I do not know what my HOA Board is paying them with my dues. In the months since our Home Owners Association hired them they have: Attempted to introduce an overly restrictive parking policy and enforcement- which divided the community and resulted in the creation of an online petition to try to stop them- thus far successful with active signatures from over 36 homeowners who went out of their way to find the website and sign it, in a community of 131; They refuse to allow open discussion in member meetings or any dialogue- further dividing my once peaceful community. They tried and threatened to fine a community member who attempted to post information to oppose them, and insisted on having the trial in secret. They are now excluding residents and guests- including spouses who are not on title, from community meetings in an attempt to railroad their policies through. They have created a division in the community between volunteer Board Members and the rest of the homeowners. They summarily cut down over 13 old growth trees, in violation of our CC&R's, which require a 51% vote of homeowner members to change the height of any tree or shrub by more than 5%; they have created such tension that neighbors are fighting in the streets and lawsuits are being threatened in a community that was previously peaceful. This is a two person company that has only been in business for 2 years. They pretend they are bigger and that they are experienced, and attempt to impress Board Members with rapid intrusive action without any attempt to build community consensus. They lack any conflict resolution skills and escalate the problems they have created at every turn by being officious and obstructionist: including charging homeowners $25 per section for copies of the rules and laws they are using to abuse us, and not providing a digital format. They attempt to intimidate homeowner members through threatened fines, and by quoting CC&R's and state statutes, while ignoring, any communication regarding their own violations of such rules. They have refused to provide homeowners with plans for further changes in landscaping. Do NOT hire this company to help manage your property or community, unless you want community dissent and drawn out court battles, where once there was peace and harmony.
