In the past I've tried several rug cleaning businesses and have found Appleby's to be the best. Their pricing is a little on the high side but the quality and the fact that they are a local businessw, not a chain, keeps me coming back.
The Appleby's staff has always provided great professional advice on how to care for my rugs. I would not consider going anywhere else to have my rugs cleaned.

"You are correct. Urine can cause dye bleeding and unfortunately did. We're sorry for the misfortune. Should your puppy have another accident, treat it my flooding the area with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water. Blot up but don't rub."
"Most kilems need to blocked after cleaning. We like to inform you of this and get your approval should it need to be done prior to taking it out of your house. It's a labor intensive process. Fortunately your rug came out rectangular after cleaning. Many don't."
"We apologize for the late response on this, but we were just made aware of this after logging in for our first time to Angie's List for Companies. We had a company meeting and are actually puzzled by the response. We take all our customers' concerns very seriously, and were never contacted by this party to resolve the situation. Obviously, there was a grave misunderstanding and/or expectations were too high. We don't polish granite as it is much harder than marble, limestone and travertine. For granite, we only clean and seal as was stated on the original agreement with this customer. We respond immediately to any complaints. We've been in business almost 55 years and cannot do business without keeping our customers happy. The customer questions whether any work was actually done. Sealing countertops with and impregnating sealer should not change the look of the granite at all, unless an enhancing sealer is applied, which in this case it was not. We can assure the customer that our trained technicians did their job correctly. When finished with the job, we have the customer sign off that work is completed and approved. We do have a signature indicating this, which adds to our puzzlement. We again apologize for the misunderstanding and hope to regain the trust of this valued customer."
