watch out - they charge a service fee for quotes

I chose them because they had the best quote, but were still professional. They arrived on time, were very professional, cleaning up well after each day's work. Turns out the air didn't work. We discovered this on a Sunday. They came over within a few hours and fixed the problem immediately. No issues since.

Great experience from start to finish! Sam came to the house and inspected the area and gave us all the options for what we would need, no pressure just a friendly conversation. Installation went great and we now have a warm house again. They honored the deal that was provided on Angie's list so we also had the work done for a great price. Would definitely use their services again for other house projects.

Sal was early (he did call ahead of time). He was in and out in about 3 1/2 hours. Sal's workmanship is superb! I've used Valley for 5 other jobs, and I always ask for Sal when it comes to anything electrical. He knows his stuff!

I called to have someone come out for an estimate. After multiple times on hold, I was finally told that no one could come give me an estimate for an entire month. What a joke. This company doesn’t deserve the service award that it holds. I’m going to use another company.

Great. Finished in a time fashion

Valley Heating was courteous and professional at all times. They kept their promises and met their installation date. Because they were backlogged with heater repairs, they loaned us without charge an electric space heater for the interim. I wasn't satisfied with the exposed fiberglass batting applied to the base of the furnace. The crew told me that it was not routine to wrap the fiberglass. But Valley agreed to send a technician to wrap it later at no charge. They did so and now I'm a satisfied customer. My only complaint is that both the furnace and the AC rated at the low end of the efficiency scale, despite costing almost $9,000. Fortunately, the weather in Sunnyvale is mild so paying more for greater efficiency did not make sense.

All were checked. The serviceman said that the dryer vent did not need to be cleaned. He saved us $199.

From the first point of contact, Valley Heating was a pleasure to deal with. Zac came by take the initial look for the estimate and was so friendly, helpful, and professional. Once we received the estimate, I was blown away by how professional and organized the company was - the matrix of options, the fast and clear communication, the scheduling - it was all so unlike the other contractors I'd been dealing with through my renovation. Once the job started, I continued to be pleased. Eugene (Gene) led the crew and did a fantastic job over the 5 days they were at our house. The work was precise, clean, accurate, and on time and they delivered exactly what they said they would. Just like Zac, the crew was a pleasure to deal with. They kept our house amazingly clean even during a rainy day and having to deal with our dirt floor basement. I have a solid understanding of how everything works and couldn't be happier. This is hands down the best contractor I've ever dealt with and I plan to use them again for electrical work and make many recommendations.

We exchanged some e-mails to get an idea of what I wanted done. Sal came first to provide a quote because I was looking at having several things done and wanted pricing before I decided what and when. He came back later and added two plugs. I plan to have him install an electric car charger at a later date.

I made an appointment and the lady said the tech would come next day between noon and four, most likely nearer noon and the tech would call thirty minutes before arrival. I had not heard by 3:45 so phoned the company who tracked down the tech and found him in San Carlos and said he would come soon. He phoned about 4:30 and showed up at 5 after I waited all afternoon. He fixed all and changed the batteries in my thermostat and showed me how. I paid him with credit card but he had no paperwork and I asked him for some and he said they would send some. It didn't come so I had to phone and it arrived eleven days after I paid him and I had to persuade the office to send paper.

It was done quickly and professionally

I needed to have a recessed light installed in my stairway that required an on the spot platform to support the ladder to reach the ceiling. The electrician was able to create one and installed the light and asked to add an outlet in the bedroom while he was there...Perfect!
