"I recently saw the report that this member posted about our company and as General Manager for Repipe Specialists, Inc, I am always disappointed when any experience from a customer is less than positive. However, while I respect the right of any customer to “air” their disappointment about a service, I feel that the information should be accurate and fairly stated. I do not believe that his report hits the mark on either point. Examples: Corrections from a city inspector are not uncommon in any construction project. I make no excuses though for any errors made, nor do I place an unrealistic expectation on there never being any. What he fails to note is that on two occasions we tried to set up a re-inspect with the City and both times this fell through because he could not leave work or was otherwise unavailable. He also did not mention that we offered to have an employee remain in his home to stand inspection, but he insisted on being there himself. One of his cancellations was on 5/20/2009. He notes that a brushed nickel shower valves was ordered and never installed. It is true one was ordered, however what was omitted from the report was that an alternative was installed during the repipe and he informed our shop owner afterwords that he preferred to have this left in. The option was always his. He makes it seem that communication from our office was always lacking, whereas, there have been numerous messages left for him from the office manager and shop owner following up on any outstanding issues. He has failed to respond to these messages and as noted never made the final payment of $800. It should be noted that the job was started on 5/15/09, which was a Friday. Inspections were called for and carried out the beginning of the following week within 1-2 days of beginning. Corrections were completed on 5/21/09. Per our logs, an ongoing dialogue with him to arrange for a re-inspection was continuing as of 6/4/09. This is the primary cause of the delay in completing the job; otherwise, it was completed within 3 business days. The repipe job is finished. While it did not go as easily as intended, the work itself was completed quickly and correctly and any disagreement with post-completion inspections with a city office did not and should not warrant “straight Fs” from this member."
