The office is very efficient. They have a very friendly staff. I didn't always feel that the job was completely done, so I had to call the back a couple of times to get the job done correctly. They didn't mind coming back, but I wish it would have been done right the first time.

There was a soft spot on the inside window sill, which I had suspected was due to water intrusion, but I could not find a window vendor who would investigate it. I finally found some reports on CASE Handyman & Remodeling while searching Angie's List. The receptionist (Jill) was very helpful and friendly when I called and she set up an appointment for an estimator (Mike) to come out. He was on time and was able to provide an estimate on the spot and set up another appointment for the handyman who would actually do the work. When he asked if there was anything else I needed done, I brought up the subject of the attic ladder. I had recently had to drag a ladder upstairs to access the attic and had been thinking that an attic ladder would be more convenient and safer. He said the handyman could do that too, but that I needed pick out the ladder and determine whether the handyman had to pick it up for me. While searching the local hardware and big-box stores for a typical drop-down fold-out attic ladder, I found a new product, which was a drop-down telescoping attic ladder. I called Mike to share the info and he was enthusiastic about the product and was sure the handyman would be able to install it. The box containing the ladder was small enough to fit in my car and light enough for me to carry into the house, although it would have been easier with two people. The problem with the window turned out to be just a need for some exterior caulking, which the Homeowners Association took care of. So the handyman (Malcom) only had to patch the small access hole he had opened to investigate the problem. The attic ladder installation went well too. It was the first time that Malcom had assembled and installed one. However, he was very patient and careful in putting it all together (it took a couple of hours), and it worked perfectly when he was finished.

Easy to set up appointment online. Stan came and did a great job. He has been here before. Took only 3 hours, approximately.

My experience with them was excellent. We had them out twice to do all of the work. We were really happy with the service. It was the same person and we liked that. I would totally recommend them.

It went well, but we decided that we did not want to spend that much money for something that was a want rather than a need.

The guy didn't know what he was doing when he was there. He took four hours to put the doors on. He couldn't hang up some of the stuff that I needed hung up.

"WHILE WE ABSOLUTELY APPRECIATE THE FEEDBACK AND APOLOGIZE FOR THE LESS THAN GREAT SERVICE, UNFORTUNATELY, THIS MEMBER WAITED 18 MONTHS TO POST THIS REVIEW. SHE DID RETURN OUR SURVEY WHICH WAS SENT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE JOB WHICH WE DID RESPOND TO. HER INITIAL FEEDBACK HELPED. THE INDIVIDUAL WHO COMPLETED THIS WORK WAS TERMINATED FROM OUR COMPANY OVER A YEAR AGO FOR JOB PERFORMANCE. WE DID CONTACT THE MEMBER AND OFFERED A 10% DISCOUNT ON HER NEXT SERVICE. SHE DID INDICATE IN OUR SURVEY THAT SHE WOULD USE OUR SERVICE AGAIN WITH A DIFFERENT REPAIR SPECIALIST."

Case successfully coordinated their work with the roofer coming in after them to reroof my house which was great. They were careful not to damage the original stucco behind the sun room paneling they removed and the deck underneath was left in good shape as well. Quality of the work was high. I would recommend them highly.

From start to finish this company could not have been any more courteous and professional than they were. Except for a minor glitch in scheduling the 1st home estimate appointment (this error was handled with a discount given to the initial job; most appreciated & professional). Every aspect of the job was discussed, before and during; our Handyman Chip was on time daily, very knowledgeable, allowed us input, took care protecting our home and belongings as he worked, and a pleasure to work with.

Stan was very professional and finished before the 4 hours minimum charge. The toilet is very sturdy now. The shower looks great and I must add that no one from any of the glass or shower stores I contacted would even touch this shower because "they did not install it". The living room is much more cozier now that the heat works! Finally, it isn't annoying now going into the garage flicking on the light and not knowing if it is going to come on or not. Stan is going to set us up with a remodeling specialist to give us some ideas on replacing our vanity and floors with hardwood or laminate. Also, because he finished early he said he would give us a "credit" of the time not used on our next project.

The project went very well. Case charges $95 per hour with a two hour minimum. The electrician came out and estimated that it would take only two hours. It actually took three hours due to extra time required to fish the wire down the wall (to avoid making any holes in the wall). I considered this to be reasonable. The work was done professionally and met all my requirements. I purchased my own parts but if you wanted Case to supply them it could get expensive since you would pay them $95/hour to go shopping.

Even though they were very fast and professional in doing the estimate, I thought the price was outrageous. I easily found another company to do the job for only a third of the price that they gave me.

I am very pleased with the outcome of this project. Mike, my design consultant from Case, worked with me every step of the way from the initial consultation, picking out and buying materials from local suppliers and suggesting design ideas. Chip performed most of the work from tear-down to the finishing touches, and supervised the sub-contractors they hired. All work was done extremely professionally and I was kept informed of progress every day since I work full-time. Everyone I worked with was very prompt for all appointments. The quality of workmanship is outstanding; the job was completed on time and just slightly above the contract price, which I approved. I highly recommend Case for a remodel, especially if you want the extra assistance from a design consultant and willing to pay extra for this. I will be bringing them back to do my bathrooms within the few years.

It went very well. They did use sub-contractors for some stucco and painting work but managed the process well on their side and gave me complete control. They were pretty good about cleaning up every day and overall did a great job.

Malcom showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m. and checked the condition of the drywall. He assessed that the drywall was still in good condition and that the water stains were superficial and could be cleaned with bleach and sealed, which I've since done. He installed a drain pipe from my rain gutter, which the previous owner's contractor had failed to install. Because I had paid for two hours (the minimum requirement), I had him check my water filters and shop for replacements. Malcom was extremely professional and helpful with home repair advice that concerned other areas in the house.

The project went pretty well. Our carpenter Stan was very skillful, punctual, cleaned up every day and was fun to have around. The bottom line is that the room looks great. I'm not too keen on Case's business practices, however. The cabinets were a month late being ordered and the statement of work attached to the contract was pretty vague. This led to misunderstandings about what was included in the price and what wasn't. Also the cabinets did not come in exactly as we ordered and since no one (Case or subcontractor) would own up to the error, it cost us extra to make it right. There were also too many progress payments. 9 of them for a two week job. I was writing checks every day. They also tried to get me to make the final payment before the job was completed to my satisfaction. No way!

I called Case the next day and asked to have the dryer installation fixed and they setup a second call for a few weeks later. The handyman came out and had an excellent solution to the dryer door not opening, he redid my closet doors and it worked out great. He then completed the new dryer venting. The second appointment also took a very long time, but I was charged fairly.

When they said they were coming, they came exactly on time. They were very professional and didn't mind answering our questions. They cleaned up really well when they were finished and for the work that they had completed, the price was very much in the range we thought it should be.

They did a wonderful job. I was very impressed. There were multiple steps of course and Christmas fell right in the middle of their work week so all together it took them about two weeks to get the job done but do to the circumstances I didn't feel that it took too long.
