"After approval from the city, the client wanted a refund and threatened to blackmail with negative reviews posted across the internet. I offered a refund if he could show the copy of the city approval that did not use HCSE drawings, however he could not provide such evidence because he indeed used the services of HCSE. I investigated with the City of Santa Cruz, and indeed our drawings were used with added comments concerning changes that the owner�s son made without our knowledge or consent. HCSE drawings were submitted and a permit was issued. For confirmation, anybody can contact Mike, the plan checker/approver for the City."

"I have reached out to this client to see why we were marked with low ratings. Her and her husband were upset that the bank made them hire a structural engineer for them to refinance their home. We conducted an inspection and provided a letter approved by them so they could move forward. They were not to thrilled about the banks request and it appears unfortunately they have taken it out on HCSE, Inc."

"I made an appointment with the homeowner the same day as requested. I did not have my site equipment on me, so I gave a discount to the owner. The first thing I did was give a homeowner a simple read, to educate him on the process of doing a seismic retrofit. After inspecting the crawl space I spent a good amount of time in the garage taking photographs which the client himself witnessed. After the observation was completed the main item of concern was an illegally built structure attached to the main house. I prepared a 8 page report that gave him guidelines to fix the problem. I let him revise the letter twice to address all his concerns"
