I had one of the best property management representatives that I could have ever worked with (Thank-you Sharon Zeiss), as I was worried about the type of support that I would receive. I had just completed a remodel and had to rent the property out. Sharon made me feel at ease as she would fill my request for a long term rental Sharon found the perfect family who would be willing to stay and make my house their home as well. Sharon always return any voice messages that I had left promptly and the billing statements were straight forward this includes any repairs that were made to my address as well. As for unforeseen circumstances I had to return (move back to the property that I had as a rental). The transfer back from Cal Western to myself went well and I?d like to say thank-you yet again to Sharon Zeiss and her team who works out of the Winchester Blvd office San Jose Calif. 408-554-1818. I had put this review off as I did not care to join Angie's list but I then received a 40 percent discount to join and thus am now going to give kudos to Cal Western. Thank-you.
Description of Work: I was looking to find a renter for my property I came across Sharon Zeiss who represented Cal Western very well. If I am ever able to rent out property I would refer to Sharon Zeiss again.

There are many people working at Cal-Western. In some sense, it is the luck of the draw if you get a good one or not. We are on our second property manager with Cal-Western. Our first experience started positive, but became quite negative as we lost our tenant, and found from them that the property manager was one of the primary reasons for their leaving. We were never sure the rates he found for repairs were appropriate; they always seemed high. We never got a second bid on any work done. We later learned he had too many properties, and thus had no time for ours. After bringing this to the attention of the president of Cal-Western, he arranged for Harry Leeman to take our account. Since then, we've had to deal with many repairs, tenants leaving, painting, cleaning, yard maintenance, fence replacement, etc. Harry has been very communicative with us and eased our old tenants out. He found new ones quickly, at a reasonable rent, and thus far has made us quite satisfied.
Description of Work: Perform all services required (or contract out) to maintain and rent a property. cleaning, painting, maintenance, create and post rental ad, interview prospective renters and check credit and financial ability to pay rent, history, etc., pictures of property to help remote owners; work with owners on any issues above threshold set by owners; send monthly and year end statements for taxes showing all income and expenses; our cost for mgmt is 9.5%/month
