Tech came out. Looked at the water heater in garage. Explained to me what had to be done and gave me the price. Wasn't a bad price. I'd rather pay more and get good quality than get one cheaper and have it break. He went to get the parts came back in no time and got it done. Very pleased with job. He cleaned up after himself and that was it.

Very professional, did a good job, very through. Price wise I was totally ripped off. I was under the gun because the toilet was leaking and I live up stairs. When I told the guys at work how much I paid for it...They said it could of been done for $500/$600 at the most. I'm dealing with it.

IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE WE REVIEWED THE CUSTOMERS COMPLAINT ABOUT PRICE AND FOUND THAT INDEED A MISTAKE HAD BEEN MADE. OUR TECHNICIAN HAD GIVEN THE CUSTOMER A PRICE BASED ON A POWER ASSIST TOILET THAT IS MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE TOILET INSTALLED. IT WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE. THE PRICE THE CUSTOMER THOUGHT SHE SHOULD HAVE PAID IS CORRECT AND WE ARE ISSUING HER A REFUND OF THE DIFFERENCE. WE ARE SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE AND HOPE THAT THIS CUSTOMER CAN SEE THAT WE ARE TRULY INTERESTED IN SATISFIED CUSTOMERS AND WILL ACCEPT OUR APOLOGY."

They responded to a request to add a water line for a refrigerator. They were on time for the appointment and gave a reasonable quote and were the only company willing to meet the time constraints for the job. Gave them the go-ahead on the spot and Steve went into the crawl space to begin work. He emerged after some time and showed me a picture of another pipe that had a large hole in it and some water had puddled in the area where he would have to lie to install the water line. He gave a quote for the repair which seemed somewhat high (they use a national average rate set), I agreed and about 5 hours later the job was done. He called on an associate to make sure the job was done easily and correctly. They cleaned up and any time they were in the house they had shoe coverings so as not to make a mess in the house.

I felt no need to continue with the others company's, due to feeling very confident in the plumber Mike Counsil sent me. Great work. Work was done very quickly and professionally.

Sat 1pm: Discovered leak into crawlspace 40' upstream of toilets. 4pm: Found Council, who would come in .5 hr (1 hr). Tom crawled in, came out caked with mud, quoted the job, & asked me to go to Home Depot for a new vent cover since he'd be removing the screen to pass tools and materials through; I should plan to stick close to do the passing. Sun 9:30 he arrived with the parts (from Home Depot, including new vent cover, but he used mine instead). He heaved the furnace duct upward as he crawled under. (I'd gone a different route to take photos of the damage Sat night; had no need to move duct.) I stood by, passed stuff in & out, & got things from the truck. By 12 he was inspecting for leaks. He emerged & asked if he could put his muddy clothes in our trash. (He took the excised pipes and his clothes with him.) Before I signed, I asked if he still thought $1,375 was a fair fee. He said he hadn't worked a Sunday in a long time, and I saved a ton by not having to dry it out first.

The estimator did not listen to me. He tried to talk me into things we didn't want, such as tank-less hot water heaters and a hot water recirculation system. He did not itemize anything in the bid so we couldn't tell why the bid was so high.

INCLUDING: NEW 1" COPPER LINE TO METER, 45FT. NEW MAIN VALVE WITH PRESSURE REGULATOR. INSTALLATION OF 3 CUSTOMER SUPPLIED SHOWER VALVES. INSTALLATION OF ROMAN TUB FILLER/VALVE.
