The salesperson said they need payment in full before installing and checks only. I trusted him and the company but then they never showed up and they kept my deposits. The installer cursed me out for a mistake on the order that he made and then they never contacted me. The owner has cashed the checks and I sent confirmation of the deposited checks. This place is a scam.

this was set up my american home shield home warranty. first time they came out before they did anything they said I needed to buy their package for a new door, new tracks, new garage door opener. then he proceeded to clean the lense on my sensors. there is nothing wrong with my door or tracks. I complained. they sent out another worker who tried to sell me the same package without even checking anything. both workers lied and said my home warranty would not cover a garage door opener, which they do. so I have lost 100 dollars for them to come out

I had my garage door serviced by Ace’s in January. I was given a 90-day warranty. Naturally, my garage door failed again yesterday, 94 days after service! Thus, beware of hiring this company!!!

This was a First American Home Warranty service call for garage door opener repair/replacement. First American uses Ace’s as its contractor for such service. First American charges $75 for the house call. Additional charges, I was told, might be assessed by Ace’s which I would pay separately. I thought the service would be covered by my home warranty (having pored over the warranty coverage). The Ace’s repairman was dour and hard to understand. He looked at the garage door opener and decided, within 10 seconds, that the repair/replacement would not be covered by First American. I should have sent him away right then but I was desperate for the repair and interested in hearing his cost. The garage door opener was not at fault. The proposed service—which I deciphered would include tightening of all rollers, disassembly/re-alignment/reinstallation of the tracks, lubrication, re-weatherstripping, test of keypad and remote controls—would cost $250, in addition to First American’s $75. I thought that this service would take three or four hours thus resulting in a reasonable hourly rate of $80 to $100. I should have asked how long it would take. I said go ahead. To my dismay fifteen minutes later, the repairman said he was done. The garage door did open, but he certainly failed to do what he promised and I was highly displeased with the cost: $1300 per hour.

Poorly: showed up late without phone notice, diagnosed problem incorrectly, overpriced proposed fix, which fortunately I turned down as other contractors (whom I retained) advised a very different fix. I'm back in operation at very little cost vs. Ace's quote.

The electrical cord did not reach the outlet box so I have to use an extension cord to operate the door opener. Tech said that if an inspector looked at it that this would be illegal Wondered why the motor was installed in this matter. I paid, I believe over $800 for substandard work. Now I need an electrician to correct the problem. I'm not satisfied with this job.

I followed the instructions dictated by Angies List to give 3 different days that they could do the work and was told they would contact me to set up the appointment. They never contacted me. I don't know if they were given the details and just ignored their responsibility, or of Angies List failed to connect with them and give them the details. All I know is it didn't work out the way it was advertised. I'm too busy to deal with companies that can't follow through. Angies List refunded the money I paid. No problem there.

Ace's did not call me to schedule the appointment after I purchased the service from Angie's List. I was given a 4 hour window (even Comcast is better than this) and 15 minutes before the window closed I was informed that the technician would be an hour late. Fortunately, there is nothing currently wrong with my garage and this was purely preventative maintenance. I'll find another provider.
