They did a really good job. I've known them for quite some time. They did a lot of concrete work. They put in a new drainage system too around the pool which we never had.

I am a retired general contractor and the pool guys performed exceptionally well on all phases of work. This is the third time I have used them. Prices are very competitive.

Called them early summer but they were fully booked. Finally got them in early fall. April was courteous and helpful giving me options at various costs. Decided to clean only visible areas of pool rather than the whole pool to save some cost. Workers were punctual and diligent, cleaning up properly after the job. April updated me on progress every day via email throughout the 4 days. Also recommended me other pool contractors for more extensive remodeling jobs for the future.

We made 3 appointments for estimates. The Pool Guys was the first to come out and we decided after meeting Tim to cancel the others. Tim was so personable, knowledgeable and patient with our many questions. He explained our different options and costs involved with each. We did have to wait a month until they could start the job but in that time we met with his wife April. Now as I previously stated immediately after meeting Tim we knew this company would be a good fit for us, however after meeting April the deal was cemented in concrete. April knows this business as well as Tim. She was able to blend colors in the pavers to exactly the look my husband wanted. Her help with the tile selection was right on. When dealing with Tim and April we never felt rushed, or like we were dealing with contractors it was more like old friends or family the whole process from start to finish was smooth. We had the plaster from the pool and 1,400 sq. ft. of decking removed in a few days and the entire process of each day was cleaned and swept. The crew that Tim and April have put together are fantastic. They are self-starters, efficient, fast and also very respectful and courteous. Not only would Tim and or April be at our home every day checking the job and progress we would always receive an email each night outlining the next day?s work. April also help us with the pool start up procedure with Living Waters. I would recommend The Pool Guys to anyone needing pool repair or remodel. The Pool Guys- April, Tim and Tammy are the best! Even though they were not the cheapest of my quotes, their value exceeded my expectations. I wanted a vendor that had great communications skills, set appropriate expectations and of course did great work. The Pool Guys did it all with professionalism. My confidence grew when I used them on another job for my daughter and her husbands home in Placentia. There too they exceeded our expectations did a beautiful job and in record time!

The Pool Guys were great to work with. They were there every step of the way. It was a huge project and they were here everyday overlooking the job. My pool, spa and backyard look beautiful!!!!!!! So appreciate all their hard work.

I really cant say anything negative about the work or the service we received from The Pool Guys. It was an extremely messy job. They cleaned up the majority of the mess and left very little for us to clean up. The quality of the workmanship was very good and it looks great. April (the owner) was on top of every aspect of the job and was on our property 3-4 times a day making sure everything ran smoothly. I do not think we will use anyone but the pool guys for future work on our pool

Tim came gave us an estimate. April contacted us to tell us the start date. Workers started on time. Job finished within two weeks. During that time April or Tammy came to check on the progress, and let us know what was going on. We were always informed the date , time, and what work was to be done The finished pool was very nice compared to what it looked like before. Would hire again if needed. Thanks again

The company work crew came in and "chipped" the pool and removed the old tile and all the debris. The crew then prepped the pool for new plaster and tile, and installed a new, efficient bottom drain. The new tile was installed and plastered, then the pool plaster was poured and worked to a very smooth finish. In line with recommendations, we did replace the filter in the filtration system. The last step was to refill the pool. The overall work was excellent, very professional and better than new. We are pleased with the decision to keep the pool. The work crew gave us explicit instructions on the care and maintenance for the critical time period that the plaster sets. The work crew came by after the work was completed to check that the pool was fully operational.

One of the best companies I have ever worked with, fantastic! We had so many questions, as new pool owners. They were patient responsive, answered all of our questions, on site and supervised every step of the way. If every company was this good, I would be a very happy person.

Service was prompt and professional. Time was taken to discuss all the options as well as the costs. There were no hidden surprises along the way. Modification requests were taken care of professionally and respectfully. The craftsmanship was outstanding and the final product was STUNNING!

The Pool Guys did a beautiful job of repairing our pool with new plaster and tile, and repairing some pool equipment. They were friendly, efficient and completed the job sooner than expected. Tim and April were great to work with and delivered what they promised.

We just purchased our house and soon afterwards the plaster started to peel off our pool. More than 40% of the surface of the plaster peeled off and entered our pool equipment. We decided we needed to completely replaster our pool and in the process needed new equipment. We met with 4 different contractors for our pool repair. Tim came and was extremely helpful with the estimate process and explained that the previous owner painted over the plaster to cover up the issue. He showed us examples of how the plaster was already in poor shape and the paint was meant to cover the condition. This showed me their expertise in pool repair that the other vendors didn't explain when I showed them the issue as well. We decided to move forward with April and Tim and couldn't be happier. April was extremely helpful during the selection process of different plaster and tile options. We decided to do a custom blend for our mini pebble with a midnight blue base with added white pebble, confetti pebble, and abalone. She also helped with the selection of the tiles used. Every change included a change order and communication was very prompt and organized. April and Tim does have a pretty busy calendar with multiple projects, but they keep you very informed of scheduling and any issues related to weather (rain, etc.) that may impact work. Their crew they have are great. The 1st day was demolition day and there was quite a bit of dust. They did a great job in covering items in our patio as well as clean up most of the dust. April or Tim was there every day to check on progress and to ensure work was done to their expectations. We appreciated their dillegence and professionalism. Once the pool was refilled, April noticed that some of the tiles near the skimmer wasn't quite right, so they came back and fixed it right away. The pool looks great and we can't wait to use the pool when weather permits. Thanks again to April and Tim.

They were extremely pleasant to work with, professional, punctual, and the least expensive company (of 5) I contacted.

Tim and April (owners) were the best contractors we've experienced. Initially, Tim came to the house and thoroughly discussed the work, then provided the estimate. April was instrumental in our choices of tile colors including the pebble bottom we chose. She was at the construction site every day that workers were there and Tim did part of the work that required special skills such as installing the automatic fill device and replacing the pump. The work proceeded every day that was promised. Their presence every day gives the customer confidence in their work. Everything went very smoothly. You felt like you were working with friends. Their workers arrived promptly on the job site and were always very pleasant and always cleaned up the area at the end of each day. Tim and April have a knowledgeable group of workers who know what they're doing. Our pool came out absolutely beautiful! The tile and coping are a perfect match. We have received nothing but positive comments on our pool. The automatic fill device is such a nice convenience. Tim and April were a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend them.

I made the decision to meet with April at their office to go over the tile and mini pebbles. It was good to see it visually vs. a book. Once the material decisions were made, April went over each cost line by line. We went with Mini Pebbles, new tiling around pool and spa and salt water system. I was nervous but the total price was a pleasant surprise. April told me they would start on 10/14 and finish by 10/31/14. She outlined each day of work. She also stated either her or Tim would be by each day to oversee the process and would email or text me each night to give me the next days schedule. The crew they have are amazing. After draining the pool, they showed up exactly on time and worked non-stop. They appeared to alternate their breaks so work went on. The 1st day was the loudest but they got the old plaster and tile off and made sure plastic was put up so dust did not go everywhere. When they left that day We couldn't believe how clean our backyard was. Little dust but to see what they did, the little dust left was a miracle. Each day thereafter was a pleasing day of work as a client. With all the contractors we have had over the years, by far, this process and the people involved were top of the line. It restored my faith in major restoration at a home. The timeline held true. In fact they actually finished 4 days before the agreed end date. Also, either Tim or April came by each day. These two people run a first class business. They make sure the client they are working with are the only ones in existence during that time. If they were working or starting on other jobs, during our timeframe we never knew it. I had a couple if previous problems with some of my spa jets and Tim fixed them with no extra penny pinching charges. We also had a situation with locating the electrical hookup for the pool light. No problem, Pool Guys have the connections with all the right people to sole the problems. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and at the end of the day our pool and spa looks SO BEAUTIFUL!!! They also worked with our new pool cleaning service, Living Waters who we are very pleased with. If you need any pool repair I recommend strongly to contact The Pool Guys. WOW!! What can I say besides sorry I took so long to write this review. Tim and April are the best and there's reasons why they're rated the best of the best. I had a complete pool remodel job done. They were very nice and patient from the start to the end. April first walked me thru all the items that was need and worked well around my schedule. She also made some good recommendations. Tim made many trips prior and after the job to ensure perfection! His crew was also very efficient. I appreciate everything they have done and we love our new pool. I do wished that i had gone darker with the plastering but overall I'm so so happy I had picked The Pool Guys R & R ....great job Tim and April... I will call you for my next project!

Our pool was in desperate need of a face lift, and the first time we met Tim, he was very professional, answered all our questions, and when he left, we knew we wanted to work with him. Then we met April! We went to their shop to pick out all the tile, stone, etc. and she let us bring samples home, and even told us to submerge them in water, look at them in morning, night, so we would get a better idea of how it would look. After we decided on the tile, stone, etc., they started the demo and April was wonderful, sending daily updates on the progress. At two different points, I changed my mind. The first one was to remove the current coping, because originally we were going to keep the old brick. The second time I changed my mind was right before they were going to pour the baja bench. I asked April if it was possible to build it on the other side of the pool, near the spa, that way when people sat on it, they would be looking towards the backyard. She was such a gem... said it wasn't a problem, and basically, made it happen. April & Tim are absolutely the BEST people to work with and they got our pool done in less than 5 weeks. I can't express HOW HAPPY we are with our NEW pool and spa. It is absolutely beautiful. It's like an outdoor oasis. We just love it and recommend The Pool Guys for anyone looking for a A+ company. A representative was on time - professional and gave me a estimate. Several days later as planned, he installed the pump and gave me a complete operating instruction.

The Pool Guys did an awesome job. The pool has a blue pebble tech finish. They came when they were supposed to and finished on time. The patch is almost impossible to see. I could not be happier.

The owners quoted us on what we initially wanted to do and then worked with us as we revised parts of the project. They made recommendations and improvements on our design. April has a good eye for what textures, colors work best for different circumstances. Both April and Tim know their products and make appropriate recommendations depending on the customer's needs. Each time they did any modification April had a change order ready so there was never any question as to what we were doing going forward and yet, very importantly they did not gouge us for changes but rather clarified what work would be done. They are the best communicators we have ever encountered in contractors. Very honest, up front, always on time, professional and business oriented and yet approachable. They went out of their way to work with a deck contractor who was replacing a deck that abutted the pool so that his job was not adversely impacted and yet they maintained their time table for completing our pool project. We can't overstate their excellence in communication.

This is a family business. Tim provided the estimate. We discussed details of the skimmer leak (I'd used the leak detection service April had previously recommended). We decided to go the cheap route on the leak repair (epoxy at $75) and revisit the issue with a more expensive solution at a later time if it was warranted. The pool was drained. The tile was acid washed. A demolition team jack hammered the old plaster away down to the concrete. The plastering team followed. Tim epoxied the skimmer leak, and he and his son installed the new lights. The old mastic was removed and new mastic was installed. They engaged Mike, from Perfect Pool and Spa Service (714-970-2482), to provide the necessary pool start-up services. Mike cleaned the filter and replace ailing grids, and he provided several weeks of daily plaster sweeping and chemical stabilizing. Mike suggested adding a zinc ball to the pump debris basket to help address high water mineral issues. April stopped periodically to monitor progress - through both the construction and the start-up phases. The construction took under 2 weeks (spanning the 4th of July weekend), and the daily sweeping and startup took 2 weeks. The pool was completed about a month ago. It's beautiful. The plaster texture is flawless. The tiles sparkle. The chemicals are balanced. Tim and April are a bright, conscientious, courteous and efficient team that brought new life to our old pool at a reasonable price, Mike Gordon is a seasoned veteran in pool maintenance. He's patient and thorough and he knows his stuff.

Let me start by saying The Pool Guys are the most professional, conscientious contractors we've ever worked with. My husband and I were impressed from start to finish! They had resurfaced our neighbor's pool earlier this year, and we really liked the look. We arranged for several estimates, and though The Pool Guys were not the cheapest, they instilled the most confidence in us. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. From the beginning, working with owner April Mullins was a delight. She was friendly and courteous, unfailingly prompt, and very flexible. In their showroom, April guided us to choose the best pebble color according to the look we wanted. We never felt rushed to make decisions. She even sent us home with a box of tile and coping samples so we could make our final decisions. Several days after signing with them, I got an Angie's List booklet in the mail with a 5% discount for The Pool Guys. Even though we'd already signed the contract, April still honored the discount. Impressive! Communication was top-notch through the entire process. Without fail, April emailed me every evening to tell me what time her crew would be arriving in the morning and what work they would be doing that day. She stopped in every single day to check on the crew and touch base with me. If I had any questions, she addressed them right away. The crew always left their area clean at the end of the workday. And when the entire job was finished, we received a lovely thank-you note from April and Tim. They are a class act. The pool itself is absolutely gorgeous. They replaced our 29-year-old stained, chipped plaster with beautiful Pebble Tec finish. We also had them take out the cracked, stained concrete coping and add bullnose brick coping, and it made an amazing difference in the look of our pool. It's spectacular! There aren't enough words to express how happy we are with The Pool Guys!

This is the third time I?ve worked with the Pool Guys, Tim and April, and it was a pleasure as usual. Working with any contractor can be challenging and sometimes frustrating but the Pool Guys are professionals who do what they say they?re going to do and they do it in a friendly, down-to-earth way. The plastering project was done in a timely manner and it came out looking very nice. Because of some scaling problems I was having a lot of trouble with the heater. Tim really went the extra mile to get the heater running right and I am very grateful for his expertise and persistence.
