The color match was poor; they had one color for the window and the trim was a different color. They used too much caulking so there was excessive caulking on the outside and the inside (so they used the same gun for interior and exterior). The vinyl material they used to trim the window was miscut, and they used the wrong screws to do the installation (which we found out when a professional looked at their finished job). They came out at least four times to fix it as we weren't satisfied, and they just made matters worse every time they came out. I couldn't get a hold of anyone in charge so it was very difficult getting in touch with somebody to discuss this. They were extremely rude to the tenant who was in the property and every time they came to fix it our tenant had to take off work. Also, when they broke out the original window they left glass shards in the grass.

From start to finish, this was a poor choice. The project only got worse as it went along.  When we got the bill it was under Comprehensive Glassworks, and they answer the phone under both names which made working with them confusing. I would not recommend them to anyone. We made a very bad choice, which cost us a lot of time and grief from doing this long distance for our rental property.

Contacted Unik Custom Glass & Mirror representative at store, 6944 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA, and outlined scope of work, to include having representative view sketch and photographs, i.e., removal of existing stucco soffit and replacing it with a triangular shaped, dual glazed, laminated soffit, per original architect's guidance to builder. Scheduled time/date following week to meet with company representative to measure and confirm scope of work involved. Company representative called 15 minutes after scheduled time of appointment to state he will running approx 45 minutes late. Arrived 48 minutes late. Measured area involved. Confused as to scope of work, inquiring if I wanted to purchase just the glass or desired installation. Stated I would be called at number provided regarding specifics of the estimate. Informed Unik representative the estimate could be mailed to me if it was more convenient. No call/estimate provided.
