"The story this customer has described ,has one key detail left off by customer.Upon arrival at his residence,we found the spark ignition module short cycling due previous company installing incorrect fan relay/transformer station.There was absolutely no noise happening or any mentioning of it by customer at the time of the scheduled appointment.We gave home owner the option of replacing the entire furnace (partly due to age) or to replace just a faulty part and possibly locating correct fan relay/transformer station (which after the extensive search was found to be no longer available due to age of the equipment).Part of our company policy in cases like that is ,if customer changes his/her mind within 30 days of service and decides to replace his/her furnace,we would include the money he paid for the repair in the estimate of replacing his/her furnace (replacement price was given to customer before the repair took place).Now customer demand partial refund and disregard the original agreement.We are still willing to include his repair charge in the original furnace replacement coast even after more then 30 days has passed."
Our 20 year old split system furnace/ air stopped working. We had replaced the thermostat ourselves which we thought may have caused the problem. Our service tech, TJ, was great. He identified the problem as lack of low voltage to the thermostat, and after checking the relays on the wiring at the furnace, replaced the transformer and installed a fuse so the fuse would blow instead of the transformer. The ac came on but blew the fuse. It was a short in the wiring from the furnace to the compressor. TJ crawled in the crawlspace under the house and fixed the wiring. Apparently a mouse had chewed through the insulation and exposed the wires which touched and shorted the system. TJ was proficient, fast, thorough and personable. And he cleaned up after the repair. We highly recommend TJ and TL Services Inc.
