The Key Crew

Generally a bad experience. I am from NY vacationing and years ago had a great experience with a Pacific Beach company (now out of business) so I was looking for a professional to do a similar job. I choose this company because they seemed like experts which they certainly were not. The first question they ask is if your car is there, and if not they say they can't help you. Funny I didn't see that disclaimer anywhere on their website. They should have known that for my car they could cut the key and I could program it myself when I got home. The prior company I used knew that and sent me home with a nice small box and instruction sheet. Not rocket science, although since they seem to have to rip paper in half to use their printer I guess that might be a heavy lift for them. When I told them car was in NY, and I could program the key myself (I played a YouTube video standing there), they proceeded to go into a huge disclaimer about how they couldn't guarantee the key would work, and when I told them to just cut the key they came back, handed me my originals and told me they weren't going to cut anything because they didn't like my attitude. Their Google link says quick and no hassle. needless to say this experience was anything but. I would recommend to ignore the glitter in their ads and go someplace else - with people who have experience.

Well, I would like to say I had my "first" experience with The Key Crew today... however, first would imply there will be more... THERE WON'T. Friendly person at the counter. When I go to pay with Samsung Pay, it goes downhill from there. A man who I guess is the owner had to be called to figure out Tap & Pay vs. Samsung Pay. Trying to explain to him how it works, while he insisted it would not, got me nothing but a snippy "I KNOW HOW THE TECHNOLOGY WORKS, BUT THIS WON'T WORK." Well, of course, IT DID, so apparently he DIDN'T know how the "technology works." Point to be made to the owner, if a customer is trying to enlighten you to a new way to accept payment... don't have an attitude and worry about the "approval code" as if a 65 year old handicapped man is going to run out the door rip you off for the price of two keys. And by the way, the keys barely work.

Great. Super quick and easy. No hassle. Very friendly.
