Aweful experience.
Damage occured just before midnight, provider is supposed to be 24x7 on call, someone called back within 90 minutes but could not get anyone out until 10am, refused to provide estimate or any info about rates, said office would call me with pricing info - office never did, attempted to bill insurance for about double what the work was worth, I believe they deliberately lied and hid pricing for as long as they could - I finally told them that to take their stuff and get out, their billing department lost our invoice for six months, then checked that insurance was willing to pay it, then refused to offer more than a minimal discount off the inflated pricing.
Will never do business with again.

We have had a prior good experience with ServePro of Del Mar, but had lost their number so had called the main servepro response number for the local emergency service for a water leak that occurred midnight on a Sunday evening...It was critical that we get someone out right away to minimize damage to walls and carpet.
The servepro of sorrento valley office took responsibility, but after a few hours of trying to call their techs was unable to get someone out until 8am...the techs arrived and did a decent job, but refused to disclose their pricing ...saying someone else would get back to us with an estimate....we were OK with that because our insurance has told us that they've used servepro for many incidents in the past and they are a reputable vendor.
The sorrento valley office did a good job of cleaning things up and getting it all done within 3 days....and didn't leave any more humidifiers or hepa filters running than needed.  The contaminated area was cordoned off and disinfected.
We asked again for the list of charges and was given a run around.  We refused to sign off on the work without seeing an invoice.  Of course, they billed our insurance directly and the insurance called me to state that the bill they received was for ~$2,100 which is about double what we paid for a prior event of similar scope.  So, while the technical aspects of the work were well done, we will not use them again.

Friendly. Did a great job

They did water damage repair. They did re plastering and painting. They did the floor where I had water damage. I paid out of pocket about $4800, but my insurance company gave quite a bit more. I thought that when they were doing the drying, they put faulty equipment to take that all out. However, after that was done, they did the plastering which was great. They were polite. They were timely and they did an excellent job.
