Scripps Health is a private, nonprofit health system in San Diego, California that includes: four acute-care hospitals on five campuses, more than 2,500 affiliated physicians and 13,000 employees, Scripps Clinic and Scripps Coastal Medical Center, a network of integrated outpatient facilities with specialists from more than 60 medical and surgical specialties, home health care services, a wide range of health education classes and support services, four emergency care locations and three urgent care locations established more than 80 years ago in the community of La Jolla, the health system now extends from Chula Vista to Oceanside, with more than 23 primary and specialty care outpatient centers. Scripps is the only health systems in San Diego to be listed as one of America’s best hospitals 2011-2012 for heart care and heart surgery by U.S. News and World Report. Every single individual I have dealt with at Scripps is top-notch! Patients are treated with the utmost of respect, from the volunteers at the front desk at Anderson to the patient service representatives to the nurses and nurse practitioners to the physicians. I have spent the past four months visiting various physicians regarding my leg wound, and every health care professional involved showed care and concern for my condition.

I don't much care for Scripps Memorial Hospital. At their Green Hospital, I think I got the super bug C Diff. Four times, they tried to do NG tube with no deadening agents. At their Mercy Hospital, they sent me home early after surgery. I had to go back the next day. When I did check out, they prescribed four medications that the Costco pharmacist refused to fill. He told my husband that taken together, they were a recipe for a heart attack. The Costco pharmacist called the hospital and made them change it. When the doctor came on rounds, he said my x-ray was okay. It wasn't normal, but it was okay. I said, "Well, how did it compare with the other two x-rays?" and he didn't know.

Over the course of 6 months or so, I had to be seen many times. I had no issue making last minute appointments or getting a phone call back from her staff or Dr. Tsai herself. We tried every alternative possible to try and solve my issues. She was amazing.

Skin check - discovered aggressive melanoma, removed completely, saved life.

Cosmetic work - took 10+ years off, various procedures over 2013 to 2014.  Still looks good (8/2015).
