I almost asked the two guys to hand over their cell phones, they were on them so much and would pause on their way into and out of the house to text, watch youtube cat videos or whatever.  And they left cigarette butts on sidewalks at both residences.  Ugh.  They did move our stuff pretty cheaply without breaking anything, with the exception that the only thing I specifically said was important was the california king mattress and NOT getting any marks on it to protect the warranty, and they dragged it up the plywood ramp of the trailer---so it got dirty on the side and had some plywood slivers in it---that was kind of a drag.  Offered to take $40 off the bill for positive Yelp reviews.  Looking back, I should have gone with a moving company that required a walk-thru or completed inventory to confirm appointment and price.

Route 66 did a great job with our move from East County to North County. They arrived a few minutes earlier than our scheduled 8:30am appt so A+ for timeliness. The three guys that came (sorry, forgot their names) were very friendly and after giving them a walk-through of the house, immediately went to work. They  worked hard and were very professional. We obviously didn't know how long the entire move was going to take but I was hoping 8-9 hours - it ended being just under 9. No broken furniture or belongings, all the major/heavy items were brought into the house and upstairs where needed. All in all a great experience and the price point was great. Mike, owner of Route 66, was easy to communicate with when needed. I'd definitely recommend their services to friends and family.

I have a large home that I was the only one living in, and I have brand new furniture so. There was a huge soil spot on one of the sofa's that came into the house and they said that, that had to have been there before. I said no nobody has ever sat on it and I know they must have put a box or something on it and they did not want to take responsibility for it at all. They just swept it off as it being oh no that had to have been there before. We didn't put anything on it. They must have taken the feet off of one of my other couches and I don't even know where they are. I didn't even know it. The box-pleated skirt that goes around it isn't sitting straight, and when I looked the feet were gone.

Was able to schedule move on requested day despite short notice. Prices were reasonable compared to quotes I received from other moving companies. The moving crew was punctual, professional, and hardworking. We had already packed the majority of our stuff into boxes, so they quickly and carefully loaded our stuff onto the moving truck. They provided wardrobe boxes for our use and moving blankets to wrap and protect our furniture. Once everything was loaded they drove the trucks down to our new home and quickly and carefully unloaded our stuff. No damage was noted on any of our furniture or other belongings. The movers asked where to place each box and piece of furniture, so everything ended up in the right place. Overall we had a great experience with this company and our movers. I have recommended them to friends and we would use them again.

Everything went great. This is the second time we've used their expert moving services and they've been awesome both times. They showed up on time, were very professional, quick but very capable and careful. They were able to move a three-person family in six hours, great job!

I highly recommend Route 66 Moving and Storage.  Top notch service AND reasonably priced.  I have moved a LOT and this was by far the best experience yet.  On time, quick, flexible when things didn't fit and needed to go back to storage and all handled by two good guys I was happy to spend 3.5 hours with. They moved me from Vista to Carlsbad in July and did an amazing job! They wrapped all my furniture the way it was theirs. Nothing got scratched or broken. I was amazed how these 2 guys brought my super heavy sofa-bed upstairs with no rest The price was discussed upfront and was even less than estimated (I gave them the difference in tip) - what a great company to deal with.
