I've only had to have my car in for service twice since I've gotten it. It's an 08 and I've never had any trouble with it. Ray Frey is a good company. They've been around, they've been in Clairemont for many, many years. In fact, the son is the one who is running it and I used to go years ago when the shop was on Convoy to his father and he passed away. So the son, Ray Jr. took it over and now he is running it on Vickers and they've been there for many years. So, they're quite well-known. I've been going to the dealership for oil changes, but any other major work would be done with Ray because he is much cheaper and does just as good a job. I went in there and they took care of me right away.

Dropped off car the day before I expected to get taken care of.  They called 2 hours later with a diagnosis and a quote, which seemed really reasonable.  The car was completed and ready to go the next day, before I had honestly thought I would have even talked to them in the first place.  The car was spotless on the inside and outside, wheels shining!  Very unexpected!!  So glad that I went to Ray Freys!

We've been dealing with Ray Frey for several years, and we've always had good experiences.  He provides honest advice and recommendations, and he does good work for reasonable prices.

He has been in business for 25 years, and he is fantastic. They are excellent. They were always reasonable, I never once felt an inkling of being ripped off, and they would always ask me before hand. They would say this is what we suggest, but you can go without it for a while. It is just a very honest place, and they are building their reputation on that. They know that people are desperately seeking an honest mechanic. He is the kind of guy that loves cars. They have a website. It is a different kind of atmosphere, and I prefer going to him than the dealer. He advised me that my BMW was at the point where it would start nickle and dimming me, and he would sell it if he were me. He said that he had dealt with the BMW and he loved them, and he had worked with it. I held on to it for a while but it was costing me 1000 Dollars every time I took it to him. I have used him for 10 years. I would use them in the future.

I've been taking my cars to Ray for over a decade. My in-laws have been doing so for much longer! I recommend him to anyone who asks about car repair/maintenance. He is completely honest and up-front and I totally trust him with my vehicles.

Have had several oil changes done in the late afternoon in less than 30 min.
Had requested a brake job on my truck. After inspection was told that only the front axel needed to be done. Prices are fair on both the oil changes and the brake job. ALSO the truck is washed for free with every job done. With the brake job they even cleaned the inside.
