ProTouch Pool Services

We have a Prologic automation system with salt cell. The salt cell component, which is built into the Prologic board went bad. We requested a quote from Protouch for (i) new salt system, or (ii) new automation system. The tech recommended switching to Pentair and provided a quote for both options. We selected the salt cell option and signed their order form for $1180. We were told that the quote was incorrect and that the price was $1934. No apologies. This was $300 more than other bids. Asked for price to just install the equipment. Was told $95 an hour and that Vanessa would provide a quote. Despite repeated texted message, we have not heard back from them. Summary: expensive and unprofessional.

Glen Cherry from Protouch inspected a pool on a property we are in Escrow with this week. He arrived on time and spent a good hour and half with us at the property. He was thorough and identified all the problems even problems you can't see. He tested the equipment and showed us how it all worked or didn't in this case. He answered a lot of questions we had and informed us of hazards the equipment could have in the condition it is in. He even brought to our attention the house roof had solar years ago which isn't their anymore. He made sure to let us know that the roof could have leaks from the old tie downs and to make sure the roof inspector reviews the inside of the attic for leaks. Thank you so much for your honesty this could save us thousands of dollars!

Kevin found the problem with our pool system that other techs weren't able to define. He was extremely knowledgeable and described several solutions. We are relieved to have finally found someone with a high level of knowledge and ethics.

Kevin Bowman from ProTouch pools inspected our pool last week. My wife and I are in escrow on a new property and wished to know about the condition of the pool. First, we are not pool people. Neither of us have ever had a pool before and we don’t know anything about how to maintain a pool/spa. Kevin arrived promptly and spent a good 2 hrs with us at the property. He was extremely thorough. He identified all the problems, tested everything, and showed me how to operate the system. He also answered all my questions (I had a lot of questions) in layman terms which was extremely helpful given my lack of experience with pools I felt that he was honest in terms of what may need to be replaced and what could wait. He presented options for when something may be nearing the end of life, gave approximate values for costs, and differentiated when something was merely a cosmetic issue as opposed to a maintenance issue that could lead to problems with the system. I was thrilled that he pointed out what maintenance could be performed by myself, rather than a pool professional. I was very satisfied with the service and support that he provided. He even suggested that we give him a call once we move in and he would provide a rundown on what I should be doing to keep the pool operating in good order. I’ll definitely take him up on this. Very satisfied with the service. He also followed up on the inspection with a very thorough written inspection report. We made a good choice with ProTouch.

Very thorough inspection! Kevin spent a ton of time explaining every issue with our new pool. He wanted us to be completely informed about being pool owners and was extremely helpful in gaining all the information we needed to care for our new pool.

Kevin is a straight shooting, honest man. I was stressing about a pool inspection that we needed asap. He was very quick to return my phone call and answer all my questions and educate me on the process. He was even able to schedule the inspection on a holiday. Cannot recommend these guys enough. Saved us $1000! Our property manager was coming after us for fraudulent damages stating that a "bowling ball" must have damaged the pool. Kevin came right out, did a full pool inspection/test of the water and concluded that the damage was plaster de-lamination due to years of wear and tear chemical imbalances not due to "tenant neglect and misuse". Took pictures and gave us the facts in writing to use in our case against the owner. Don't know what we would have done without these guys. Would have rolled over and paid the initial estimate for repair, which we now know is a scam on behalf of the owner and the original disreputable repair company. When I asked Kevin out of curiosity how much ProTouch would charge to repair the damages, he informed me that it would be pointless to repair it at all as it will keep happening across the rest of the pool. Instead of making a quick buck off of us, he gave us the best long-term advice possible.

The project provided turnout great. My pool heats up very quickly and I like the cost savings with my new Pentair pump. Thank You ProTouch Pool Services!
