Description of Work: The ordering was very easy. I contacted the gentleman who would do the measuring and installation. He came out a few days after our phone call. He was very nice and gave me the measurements which I needed to place my order for 3 skylight shades. I Placed my order online and the shades were delivered in about 2 weeks. The installer came back and did a great job. ins

Description of Work: I ordered new wood blinds for several large windows in my living room, den, and breakfast area. The price was very good, the shipping was prompt, and the blinds fit perfectly, even though I measured them myself. However, one wide window required that I order 3 sets and hang them together in order to cover. The valance option was for one piece to cover all three headers. However, the valance that came with them was cut into 2 separate pieces and came with large clamps that were different from the clamps that attached the valance to the blinds on all other windows in the same room, giving them a different appearance. In fact, the two pieces will not stay together and since the valance is not covered by any other window treatment it shows and looks as though it is falling apart. I contacted Blinds Galore and requested that they send me clamps to match the other Windows, hoping that they would hold the valance in place better. Blinds Galore refused, citing safety concerns because of the width of the valance. I pointed out that the two pieces are each narrower than the whole valances on the other Windows, but they still refused to send me different clamps. I offered to waive liability (the valances can't weigh even one pound each) and they said they would send me a letter in the mail to sign. All I have ever received is a letter from them explaining again their safety concern and stating that the existing clamps were necessary for the size of this valance. I would still give them an "A" overall, because the blinds themselves are lovely and nice quality. They look much more costly than they are. But, I am going to have to find a work-around for the large window valances.

The blinds are great quality and fit the window perfectly. One of my blind was long and needed extra brackets - They sent extra ones without any hassle. I plan on ordering more blinds from this provider.

Description of Work: Purchased blinds for self install. They decreased the size measurements I provide them (standard procedure) and as a result the blinds aren't wide enough to block all the light and a small amount light one in from each side of the blind.

Description of Work: There is a processing fee of $5.99. That is not clearly stated on their site. They offer multiple discount codes for various lines of blinds, but you can only use one discount code per order, therefore having to make separate orders or call in. And then for Angie's List members they do not honor the Angie discount. They said it was not their discount so they will not honor it. Online they say the orders are 7-9 days out. When you call in they say 2 weeks out. So when you really want your blinds that's a big discrepancy. And weekends do not count in that time frame.
