Black Mountain Plumbing, Inc. was founded in 1993 by Scott and Anita Ferrell and became a corporation in 2000. We are committed to excellence and integrity in the plumbing services that we provide to our San Diego area customers. We believe in offering excellent customer service and are proud to receive the Angie's List Super Service Award every year since 2005. Less than 5% of all plumbers listed on Angie's List are eligible to receive this award. We are members of the Better Business Bureau and have an A+ rating. We are also members of the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association.

Well, my husband called today to let Black Mountain Plumbing know of their error and request support. My husband was dismissed and told by their service person that, "Sometimes it doesn't get transferred to the disc properly, sorry." My husband then asked them to come out and re-camera the lines because this was already a service we paid substantially for and need the documentation for renovation and re-sale purposes. He was told a manager would need to be called and we would get a call back. Later in the day, the same service person called back and told my husband per management they will not re-camera for free and they would charge us full price. Then, he proceeded to blame us for their mistake claiming we "probably demagnetized the disc." Seriously?!! Obviously we kept the disc safe in its protective cover. So, basically they tried to deflect ownership of their error by putting all the blame on us. My husband assured the service worker the disc was stored in a safe manner. The service workers just shrugged him off and offered nothing in the form of remediation. In short, the company took no accountability for their mistake, blamed us, and have refused to rectify their error. As it stands now, we will contact Black Mountain Plumbing again, request to speak to a manager and try to get this mess sorted out. Update to follow. Word of advice: If you get your plumbing lines camera'd by any plumber just make sure to watch that DVD the very same day so you don't end up with a blank $500 DVD!

"Hello. It's probably not as easy as it looks. There are several sizes of hose bibbs, male and female threads. You would have to either know for sure the correct size or take it with you to the plumbing supply house. Also, there is a correct way and an incorrect way to shut down and energize a potable water system. Done incorrectly, problems can occur. Also, many times what appears to be a threaded or screwed together connection is in fact not. Instead it is a soldered connection that appears you could remove with two wrenches. Every week we get a phone call from a customer that tried to remove a hose bibb that was soldered by trying to unscrew it or that was screwed together and didn't back up with a second wrench. This causes the pipe to twist in the wall and we then have to open the stucco or drywall to repair. What appears to be simple and easy is how well and fast our guys work. Thank you for calling us!
