I was totally pleased with the work that was performed. They were on time, courteous, worked hard all day, and finished the job on time. They went the extra mile to make the wood that they replaced match the older wood. I was concerned that the other post may be rotting too, so they removed all the wood around the base to see if it was. Luckily it was fine, and they also replaced that for me too! They cleaned up so well at the end, that you would hardly know they were there. I would definitely recommend them!

It makes all the difference to have people that specialize in a specific kind of repair because they have the right tools, the right solutions and have better judgment about how to ensure future problems are avoided. They were always very clear that the work they needed to do fit within the price estimate. I also asked them to look around the entire house and while they were honest about looking to add new work, they assessed that nothing was needed. Very honest, diligent, qualified and professional.

Don came out for an estimate and was actually early to the appointment. Extremely nice guy and he was very up front and honest about what actually needed to be repaired. Didn't try to gouge me or try to sell me on repairs that weren't needed, which is always refreshing. We set up an appointment that fit with my schedule, and Sergio came out right on time. He repaired a beam in the garage that had dry rot and repaired an eave that had wet rot and termites. Cut out the damaged material and replaced with new. Glued, screwed, and caulked. Cleaned up the mess. The work was top notch, very clean and nicely done. And all the work was done in under three hours and within the Angie's List coupon value. Bottom line, these guys were great! Highly recommended. Honest, on-time, great work, good price. What more can you ask for?

I needed an estimate to fix some woodwork. He pointed out that it was just cosmedic and told me what to do to make it look better. I appreciated his help and that he did not try to charge me for something that did not need to be done. He called me back the next day to tell me the name of a product to use. He was on time and very professional and very nice. I would definitely call or recommend this company to anyone.

We knew we had some damage due to water and problems with the existing upstairs deck. We called Best-Rate and Don came out to give us an estimate. We had other estimates,but we have had excellent luck with Angie's List references, so we went with Best-Rate .As the job progressed, it quickly became apparent that the damage and problems were much more extensive than we had thought. At each step of the way, Don and his team (Sergio and Travis at this point) not only showed us the additional areas of damage, but tried to give us options on how to proceed. We very much appreciated feeling part of the decisions and the whole process. Unfortunately, we needed to replace the entire decking material and felt we could proceed with confidence with Best-Rate. The original deck had been redone with someone who obviously did a poor job. We did not have Angie's List then and relied on the BBB rating and some personal references. What a mistake! Don also suggested we needed to open up a section of the wall by our chimney and we were shocked how bad the water damage was inside, and very glad how thorough Best-Rate is. At one point, Sergio was inside the wall doing the repairs while Travis was outside! Another crew came in to do the decking (Dave was great). Again, each step of the way was shown to us and completely explained. The original team of Sergio and Travis returned after the deck was complete to finish up the project. Each night (and the project took a couple of weeks) everything was cleaned up so we never felt like we were in the middle of a construction project. Don came by often and called to make sure we were happy with how things were progressing. Although our project grew much larger than we anticipated, we always felt Best-Rate did everything they could to minimize expense, but maximize the work. They kept in constant communication with us and we felt totally informed at each and every step. At the end of our project, everything was put back in place and every detail done. All the workmen who were at our home were respectful of our property and a delight to work with. We would, and will use Best Rate again.

I called Best-Rate a week ago and they answered (no voicemail) and I scheduled an appointment the following week. They were on-time which is a plus! Don provided honest advice and did not try to convince me or sell me services I did not need. He walked me through the overall issue and was very thorough. Steve was just great - he really took the time to do a good job, even scrubbing out greasy stains from our BBQ grill. He also threw in a few little extras that make the deck look great. I appreciated that he was punctual and professional.

When Don came to the house, he took his time, did a detailed inspection of the house, and was very frank with me about what work coiuld be managed within my budget. He explained that the balcony work that I was hoping to do was a very large job, and could not reasonably be done within my constrataints. He promised a bid for that work and the eaves mentioned above. The one grievance I have is that the balcony bid never arrived. Several days later I received the bid for the eaves and accepted it, and quickly a work date was scheduled. When the workmen came, one of whom proved to be the owner of the company. Work progressed quickly and efficiently. All my expectations were met. When the balcony work is within our budget, I will call them back. I was very happy with the bidding process and the work.

The job went well without any major problems. It took 3 days to complete. All damaged wood was removed and hauled off. All new wood was primed on all 6 sides befor installing. Rick, the carpenter and Mike were very professional and the workmanship was excellent.

My first use of a Angie's List recommendation and I am totally satisfied. I have been a General Contractor for 40 years (ret.) so I was familiar with the requirements of my job. I thought that Rocky and Tyson did a thorough professional job. The were polite, respected our plants, dogs and property and left me with a feeling that I got my monies worth. The estimator, Mike, was also professional and complete, he understood what I wanted and immediately gave me a price and schedule. Insurance and License certifications were provided without asking. I would be very confident recommending Best Rate to the pickiest of my old clients

We purchased a coupon for a few hours work on Angie's list because we knew we had some roof wood damage. The estimator/owner contacted us and came out promptly for an estimate. In the course of the inspection from the ground, he identified many more damaged areas than we had first noticed. (The damages were born out when the actual boards were removed.) Credit was given for the Angie's list Big Deal coupon In addition, when the actual work began the workmen showed us more damage not readily seen from the ground. The workmen contacted the owner who talked to us and got our permission to do the additional repairs. In short we were kept informed at each stage of the process. The original contact was for a two man crew for two days work, but with the additional damage, they sent additional crew the second day and they were able to finish early. The workmen arrived on time, worked in a very professional manner and cleaned up after themselves. They removed and replaced some roof tiles as needed without breaking any and matched the paint very well. The estimate was for considerably more we first anticipated but the damage was more extensive and in difficult locations than we realized. We would normally have gotten several bids for a job this big so we cannot comment accurately on the reasonableness of the final price, but we are very satisfied with the work done.

Once we agreed on a date, Best Rate was again very prompt in their arrival time. The team who worked at our home was very professional and cordial. They asked about plantings around the house to understand where they needed to be mindful of the landscaping. They were flexible and accommodating during the time at our home. The job took 2 days. At the end of day one, they had cleaned up all the materials so the house did not look like it was under construction. We could already see an improvement in the front of our home. At the conclusion of the job, we loved the results. I would highly recommend Best Rate for anyone with wood repair work. They were prompt, professional and performed high quality repairs.

Best-Rate Repair Company Inc were good. We liked them. We liked the guy name called Rocky. They had a special rate for 4 hours and he worked very hard to make sure the job was complete in 4 hours. He was very good. He was friendly and the special rate that we got was good. He was very punctual.

He came out and measured the deck. He told me that I could use the coupon but that I would have to pay another $577.00. I asked him what the additional fees were for and he said that I needed to look at the fine print on the deal. I didn’t see any of that information in the fine print of the deal with the two e-mails I have. I have had the work done previously and they haven’t charged that amount in the past. I was very disappointed with the experience.

Discovered I had damaged wood surrounding the garage door. Angie's List had a coupon for replacement of rotted wood. Best-Rate came out, inspected the wood (termites!) and confirmed that the coupon would cover the work. Sergio came out on the appointed day at exactly the time we had agreed on. The man went immediately to work. The way he worked, if there had been two of him, they could have rebuilt the entire house in a day. And what a positive attitude! This is the kind of experience we always hope we'll have but rarely do. Anyway, the wood was replaced. The work was flawless. The paint matches. Everything is great. Do yourself a favor; use this company and make sure you ask for Sergio the Human Dynamo.

Purchased a coupon on Angies list. Called Best Rate, Don, the estimator, responded quickly. We set an appointment. which he keep on time. Don gave me an estimate which seemed reasonable. The work was scheduled for an agreeable time. Danny and Marten arrived on time and ready to work. New lumber, paint to match, and other supplies were purchased and the work commenced. All phases of the construction were done in a professional and workman-like manner. My imput was asked for regularly. The job was more work intensive than I had anticipated, but Danny and Marten completed the entire project the same day. The work ethic, knowledge, and temperment of everyone involved was outstanding. I would highly recommend this company for your projects.

I ended up not using the coupon. I wanted to ask them how much it would cost after the coupon has been applied. They told me to buy the coupon first, and told me that they could do the work by a certain time. But when I bought the coupon, they said that the time slot was no longer available.

Two workers were assigned to our repair and both brought experience and quality in their work. Best-Rate was not actually the cheapest bid, but they approached the job with integrity, creativity, and artistry far beyond what the other companies bidding the work did.

We had purchased an "Angie's Deal" for $150 and, after looking at our project, the estimate called for an additional $800. I felt that the price was a little stiff, but the company had so many positive reviews that I decided to go ahead. The two gentlemen who did the work were extremely meticulous, and I was very pleased with their careful wood preparation and painting. I wish I could remember their names to publicly commend them; they were very professional and pleasant.
