The guy came out and told us that the job would be over $5,000. He told us that with the price we paid for the Big Deal would have gotten us a small shed painted. In the deal it says an exterior house painting up to 1,000 sq feet, our house is just under 1,000. The actually measure each wall, which is how they get their sq footage. In the fine print it stated that the deal included up to two colors, then my husband was told we could only choose one color. We feel like we were scammed. We expected there to may be some extra charges. So including the $1,499 that we paid it was going to be over $5,000. If I would have known this, I would have called out multiple companies to get other estimates for the job. The guy that came out was nice, polite and professional.

This company dispatched a very professional team to do this installation. They arrived on time, drop clothes were put down where they would be walking, were cautious while they moved equipment in and out of my condo. They estimated the job would take a day plus a couple hours which is exactly how long it took. They were quiet and worked efficiently. Justin, my first contact with the company, visited during the day to make sure everything was going ok. Did a follow up phone call shortly after they crew left on the second day. All in all, I would recommend this company with no hesitation. THANK YOU GUYS!

Overall, I am quite pleased with the entire process, and plan to use this contractor again.  In that my house is so old, the measurement and planning for this job had to be done carefully.  Justin took plenty of time to explain the process and help me make decisions on style and choice of windows.  Removing 60 year old windows without cutting into the window seal was fascinating to watch.  John & Cody were very careful, and literally cut each window in two, while they were still hanging in their place.  They had to work around window boxes, plants, and a compost bin to get to the windows.   From the inside, they covered the bare-wood floors so as to avoid scratching.  Both men were very professional in their presentation, and a pleasure to speak with.
The new windows fit tight in their place and slide easily.  My only concern was that when they were done I found that the chalking around the frames was not smooth and ready for paint as I expected.  When I called about the issue, Justin was quick to plan a correction, and the chalking was re-done, and it looks as good as I had hoped.  
The cost of this job was lower than usual, as I used an Angie's List coupon.  Even if you don't use a coupon, I can confidently recommend Approved Contractor for your window replacement.

From the beginning Approved Contractor was very professional which is a trait my wife and I always look for when dealing with the purchase of a large product and/or service.  Justin arrived ontime and informed us about the types of windows we could get with the deal and they were good windows.  However, we wanted the more fancier type of window and Justin managed to still work a deal with us since were Angies List customers and used Angies List to find this company.  I will have to say that he went above and beyond in getting us set up with new windows.  There were 3 visits from the company:  the initial estimate, the measurements, and then the installation.  Justin came for the initial and the guys who were going to do the installation came to the the actual measurements to get the windows ordered.  I thought this was a great process and made us more comfortable in knowing the guys who were doing the work did the measurements and knew what to expect upon arrival.  During these visits they made clear of any changes they would have to make to the surrounding areas of the window, which were minor, but I really appreciated the heads.  There is nothing worse than seeing something changed on your house without knowing about it beforehand and these guys really took out the unexpected! 
Installation took a day and a half as we had quite a few windows and 2 patio doors to get installed.  It was no problem for us.  I think the only thing that we didn't care for in this process was having to wait a few weeks for the windows to be made to our window specifications (we have an older home with awkward sized windows), but it was completely understandable. 
All in all, this was a great deal for a great product and great service!!!  I would recommend them to anyone looking for new windows and/or patio doors.  My wife and I are completely satisfied, from beginning to end and are now enjoying the drastic temperature change in our home and the reduced noise coming from the outside.

 I was extremely pleased with the work.
I had my house painted about six years ago by another company and regretted it ever since.  They painted over dirt and cracked stucco and peeling wood and didn't properly mask off the area, so I spent the next few months scraping paint off my windows.
This year I decided to have the job done right and to use a lifetime paint.  Considered rhino shield, but after doing some research, decided it was gimmicky and over-priced and not much different from the product I would be getting. 
What I was most impressed with was the five day preparation.  They ( a crew of two or three) trenched around the house and hydro-blasted the entire house, patched and applied stucco where needed, masked everything (including adjoining shrubs), and scraped and sanded all the wood trim.  During the next two days they applied a ceramic bonder, then the final lifetime coat.  They also painted my garage door and my entry door (a different contrasting color of my choice). 
Jesus, the lead painter,  and his hard-working crew were always pleasant, on time, and never left leaving my house looking like a disaster area.
I was at first hesitant to have the job done when Justin gave me the estimate, mainly because of the expense compared to my previous paint job,  But as everyone knows, you get what you pay for.
I feel I got what I paid for, and then some.

I was browsing Angie's list for exterior painters, I like to read  the reviews and compare prices.  The next day after getting an email from Angie's List about a deal from one of the companies I had looked at, I called about an estimate.  I spoke with Justin and arranged a meeting.  I liked him right away, he explained his product because it's guaranteed for life, even had a sample you could  feel, it's really quite unique. We walked around the house and then he took some measurements. He then explained the entire process which would take a week.  They would power wash the house, they dig a trench around the house because the paint is also waterproofing the stucco, they patch and sand everything smooth, then they would start on the wood and I had a lot of wood, not only on the house but a deck off the front of the house and a 4" fence around the front yard. He broke everything down for me, the cost of the job with or without the deck and fence.  I was impressed with the amount of work it was going to take to get the house prepared for paint, which Justin said was the most important part and now I know why.  I took a deep breath and said let's do it!  Justin left me some color samples and addresses of some of the houses he had done.  I went to all the addresses he gave me and took in all the details of those jobs.  The colors weren't important but the finished look of those houses was amazing.  It was quality workmanship.  The hardest thing for me was the color scheme.  Justin wanted me to meet with Jesus, who along with his crew, would be doing the work.  Jesus is a friendly, helpful, organized, accommodating and hard working guy, I think the world of him.  He helped me with so many decisions from color choices to light fixtures and even a doorbell.  He and his crew of men are a well oiled machine and you can tell they all like each other.  They would get here at 8am and work their butts off, take a break for lunch and back at it. One day at 4:30 they started cleaning up and I went outside and said cleaning up?  And Jesus said yeah already, with it getting dark so early we have too, I looked at him and said "already?" I was in the house saying oh finally !!  No matter how bad the house may have looked each day, when they left for the day this place was clean.  I appreciated that.  My house is done, I am very happy, it was money well spent.  Justin, Jesus and the guys, thank you so very much.

I was contacted by Approved Contractors after i purchased my ticket form Angie's List. I had a contractor come by my house shortly after to look over the project areas. He immediately noticed the issue of the varying temperatures throughout specific areas in my house. He took rough measurements for all the windows and came up with the idea of finishing my previously installed windows. I was told it would take about 4-6 weeks for my windows to show up. This was good news since i was trying to get the windows installed before the cold weather kicked in. When the windows arrived i received a call for an appointment to get them installed. They showed up at 8 am as scheduled the day after Thanksgiving to start work. I showed them the project areas and they immediately began working. They continued working throughout the day despite the bad weather that came along. They worked diligently and professionally to completion. They cleaned up all the work areas. Overall they spent about 8 hours doing work and it looks really good. I'm very pleased with the new windows. The look and feel is amazing. And most important i can leave my thermostat and one temperature and it feels the same in all my rooms. I would recommend calling if you plan on having new windows installed.

I purchased new windows for my home. All aspects of this purchase went great. It was so easy. From ordering, to measurements, to installation. Each person that I dealt with was professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely use Approved Contractor Inc. again.

Justin came out and talked over the details with me and sent his team out to get measurements for the windows within a  couple of days. After the windows were ordered and came in his team came out to install the windows. They were able to work within my schedule. They arrived on time and worked throughout the day. Even after running into a couple of issues with the old windows and the various types of frames that were used by the previous home owner they were able to complete most of the install that day. Due to my schedule and the issues they had to come back the next day and finish up the small details. Once complete they cleaned up any mess they made before leaving.

We could not be happier! Their price was competitive and their service was outstanding. All our windows were replaced, 4 individual air conditioner units were removed from windows and walls and they were patched so that one could never tell that they had ever been there. All of the exterior of our home was power washed, old stucco was patched and repaired and then our entire house was painted. They provided us a schedule and they followed it exactly as quoted. We do not occupy the home (rental) and we were kept informed by Justin every step of the way. Jesus, their foreman was outstanding as well. They attended to every detail. We received bids from several  "Angie's List" contractors but they were the only contractor that would complete all the work we wanted accomplished. We highly recommend Approved Contractors.

As Justin stated the windows took about 6 weeks to manufacture and ship.  Once the windows were received by Approved Contractor Inc. Justin called us to let us know that they were there and we scheduled the install for the following Thursday (he called us on Monday I believe).  When Thursday came my wife told me that everything went great during the install (she was at home when the install was performed).  Justin's contractor and coworker came to our house with the windows and very quickly removed the old windows on our house and slid the new ones in, sealing and providing all of the instructions we would need.  In addition, Justin?s contractor was very respectful of our babies (twins) and there naptime and he started on the opposite side of the house to make sure they could get their full nap.
I have definitely told all of my friends and acquaintances about our experience and would definitely recommend Justin and Approved Contractor Inc. with their Angie?s list coupon.

Quote went well. Took longer to get the windows in than expected. The install went very well and very quickly. All done in one day without any real problems. The installer, John, was excellent. Very professional and knowledgable. He was very detail oriented. Great experience, would recommend.

I saw the special offer on Angies list a few months ago for these windows and decided to see what the company had to offer.  I called and left a message, and within the hour got a call from Justin the regional manager to set up a time to come to my home.  Justin was very professional and explained the product and what the company would do to replace my windows. Since I live in a development with a home owners association and have to request approval before any exterior work is done, Justin walked with me around the neighborhood so we could see what the other neighbors had done with their windows.  Justin then prepared a package of information that my HOA requested, and I waited a few weeks.  I was very happy when I got the approval.
After I contacted Justin he set up a time for John the supervisor of the install group to come out and measure my windows and sliding doors.  It took a few weeks for the order to come in and then we set up an install date.  I was told that it would take 2 days to finish the job and that was how long it took.  Carlos and his son Installed the windows and were very polite and courteous, and cleaned up afterwards.  
I had only a couple of things that needed to be touched up after the windows had set, and it was taken care of as soon as I informed Justin.  I was impressed with the follow up calls by Justin and John, and even Jared, making sure everything was OK.  I am very happy with my windows so far, and am happy that I can get an energy efficiency rebate on my taxes.  I also feel that the price was very fair especially with a lifetime warranty.  Thank you Approved Contractor.          

Justin and his team were great from beginning to end. Justin is very informative, patient, knowledgeable and considerate. The install team was efficient and made every effort to accommodation our plans. We have an older home and the look/feel of the new windows was critical for us. We were able to salvage our old windows and get the new one into place perfectly.
Will use this provider again for our next project.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List. We were a little bit disappointment with the quality of the work. They left trash in our yard, water bottles, etc. There was one guy, the wood guy, he was doing the trim around my patio door and after he had it all nailed in I looked at it and it was bowing out and so he came up there and got a try bar and tried it back off and there was a piece of wood under it from another piece of trim that they did not remove properly and they were just trying to put another piece of trim on top of an old piece of trim and it was crappy and if I had not seen it it would have been left like that. They put in one window downstairs and did not pull the wire so they had to take the window back out. Then they went upstairs and they put in four windows, did not take the wires out from so they had to pull all four windows back out, pull the wires, put them back in again. Then after I had the alarm guy here the last day they cut a main wire for my alarm after the alarm was completely done and so they knocked out all my wiring downstairs. They put the primer on there and they did not paint the trim, so we did not know that we were going to have to paint the trim. I think they should have told us that. I had to call this guy out because the screen was kind of messed up, he came out and he said call me anytime and he tried to accommodate me. He fixed the screen. He was the lead guy. He seemed like he did a pretty good job, but his employees were not quite as good. The price was good. I smashed my finger in the window the first day, because they do not have rubber stoppers in there. The guy said the more expensive windows have stoppers on them. They were sawing a wood out my driveway and they left one night and there were little plastic pieces all over my driveway. It went all up inside of my garage. I had to ask them the next day to clean it up because they did not clean it up that night. So, they did not clean up after themselves unless I requested it.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Overall the workmanship was pretty good. I am kind of picky and there were a few minor details that I would critique. Generally he said what he would accept and in one case I was misled a little on what he was going to do. During the process of installing the windows it included removing and replacing the security bars. In the original presentation he said that he would paint those bars. When it came time, no. Overall it was good. The windows had to be ordered. On one set of windows they had to enlarge the window because it wasn't up to code for an emergency escape with the bars on it. The house was built in 1959. It was basically satisfactory. The pricing was a bit high but I didn't do any side by side comparisons. On a Friday they were waiting for the paint to show up and they had all the windows masked out in plastic to protect them from the house painting. They left it for more than a weekend so we were kind of shy on ventilation because we have window air conditioners in 2 rooms so we were kind of limited. It was not good thinking. I would consider using them again but I would check other bids.

We're very pleased with the quality of the windows and their installation.  The installers were professional and courteous - they even put up with our dogs!  We have another project coming up - we'll definitely contact Approved Contractor when we're ready to replace the glass slider.

The two installers came and did a very timely professional job.

From beginning to end the jobs when smoothly.  Justin went into great detail explaining the product, the options, the pricing and the contract.  Measurements were performed professionally and even when we had trouble deciding on specific products Justin was happy to come back out and re-explain differences.  The installation crews were very professional and took great care in protecting our property and did a great clean-up when each unit was completed. As stated above, our business is based on rental income stream and being able to schedule work when vacancies occurred was a big plus.

The service performed was of very good quality-the price was a great buy-the quality of the Cascade windows is excellent-the installers were very knowledgeable and installed the windows in one day as promised.  I will be a repeat customer.  I highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend this company to work with.  Justin was always responsive to questions and seeing that things got done.  This company dug a trench around my house to inhibit ground moisture, prepped and repaired the house before painting, took care with the shrubbery and did a very thorough clean up.  Although it was a little more than I wanted to spend the end result was worth it.  Neighbors have been commenting on the "nice" paint job.  Nice job Approved Contractor, Inc.!

Contractor, bidder, workers and follow-up was ALL as represented, on schedule, on time, on budget...  Completed and cleaned up very day...  Followed thru with not only what was contracted and agreed, but with the small "what is" issues that are found once work begins...  Very good job of prep (maybe the most important for a good paint job), stayed on the job "full days" to get it done...  They have also followed up to insure our satisfaction...  If the warranty is as good as the work and materials appear to be, we will not be re-painting for a very long time!!!   Guess you will have to ask me in 3, 5, 10 years from now...  Work done on the stucco has a "life-time warranty"...



We also have more work they will be doing on a detached deck, work shop and office, later...  We would strongly recommend they as one of your serious consideration, talk to Justin!!!
